check out the buttstock on the AT below.....:)
On the pic I posted? It's the AT LE model, which comes with the AX buttstock out of the box. Mile High will do the conversion for you (or you can swap the buttstock yourself) for ~$800. If you get a 308 barrel chopped down to 16" it will basically be the AT LE for civilians.

Not sure how anyone will get the chassis on the AXMC LE though.

That AT LE looks like it is FDE and has a skin colored rear grip insert. Maybe a new color? Or the return of an old color actually?

I waited many months for a replacement sage green rear backstrap. They exist! Not sure what determines which rifles get them, but most of the AX308 and AXMC rifles currently for sale at EuroOptic have color-matched backstraps.

Not sure on the color of the AT LE...my guess is dark earth? It's hard to tell in the picture, but it does look like a different shade than the AXMC LE.

Someone at my club had an AX buttstock fitted to their AT and whilst it does look good, they did admit with hindsight (and taking into account the cost £750), they probably would have left the AT as standard. Also, the AX buttstock did necessitate higher scope rings due to the height of cheekpiece on the AX stock.

That's why I designed and made a "low" AX cheek piece for the AX and AX-AICS buttstock

Can't comment on the price though, it definitely is an expensive upgrade!

i wonder if that means they are going to keep AXMC and ASR? Im not sure if its been addressed but why LE only on these? anyone know?
Everything "we" have been told (as in the public) is the AXMC is discontinued to make way for the new-gen AXSR. The AXMC LE is news to me, it will be interesting if they say why they're doing it. Maybe it's significantly cheaper to a LE department vs the AXSR, but how many LE department are needing/buying long action magnums?

Perhaps keeping the current pricing on it? IDK, my wallet keeps telling me i dont need the long action, but the short action in the safe keeps crying for a brother. lol

geek65, that's kind of where i am as well, don't see the cost benefit.

I too have an AT (308) and I did consider the AX stock modification, but eventually decided it was just too much money for no actual benefit (other than looks, which are very subjective). Therefore, I added the thumbhole conversion, to look like an AW, and as far as I am concerned I made the right choice.

I absolutely love the AX buttstock, I agree $750 is an expensive upgrade however I think it enhanced the rifle. I really prefer the right side folder.

One thing I liked about earlier version AI's is in really cold weather the plastic skins made it more comfortable to hold, otherwise the new changes look promising.

has anyone else noted the serious lack of machining and block like contour compared to the AXMC around the folding butt and elsewhere to be honest.

No not at all. There's quite a bit more machining actually. Are you looking for a bunch of designs carved into it? It looks wonderful. K.I.S.S.

I noticed .408 CheyTac and .375 CheyTac was spelled ChetTac under BARREL OPTIONS in the AX50 ELR spec sheet.

Question for the masses. I have an AT with the higher optic rail and an mpa 1.5" mount. I'm looking at a few options to attach my pvs30 to it, will the badger imuns be inline with the scope rail or will I have to go with the nv bridge that AI makes? The rifle in question:

I’m not sure about the IMUNS mount but the factory NV bridge aligns with the tall optic rail. It will also protrude past the chassis about the same length as your SamB spigot.

My rifle is almost a twin to yours and I have the NV bridge.

Picked this up yesterday, same comments I'm sure as everyone else made when they bought their first AI. Definitely wasted too much time and money on customs guns. Should have just grabbed one of these, the bolt lift is lighter and smoother than my tempests. Unsure whether I send this off for a lick of paint yet or if I'm going to swap this barrel for a 28" 338LM carbon instead. I will definitely be grabbing a .308 boltface when one pops up and will keep my ears to the ground for short action ASR mags hitting our shores.

Apologies for the delay in replying below fellas, juggling a few things this week, and children. And their flailing arms makes it more so challenging to juggle, especially my eldest.

@Simia Dei hmm...I wasn’t aware Anarchy couldn’t export to Australia. Did you contact them through the website?
https://www.anarchyoutdoors.com/international-orders/

I received a response and AO can export to Aus mate, but after setting up the rifle, unsure whether I need the cheek piece yet. I'll be moving states this year so will convert this to a folder and grab that thumbrest though, I definitely think that will be of benefit. AO has some great things on that site, had to stop myself going down the rabbit hole.

I've owned every brake made by PVA and they are amazing. The recoil reduction is obviously most important and it does a great job but what else is awesome is the lack of concussion from the blast. I've used other brakes and after a day of shooting, I could feel the effects of the concussion in my head and sinuses. I dont get that from PVA brakes, especially the Jet4 brake. YMMV but I'm sold on them. Anarchy outdoors carried the thumb rests and check pieces from AO and I'd bet they can export. The comp trigger is awesome. I love it. It was worth the money. As long as you dont get rid of the 1st stage and make it a single stage trigger (which you can), u shouldn't have any reliability issues at all

The PVA only goes up to 30 cal? I think I'll be swapping the brake out on this one sooner than later. I'll give this a run and see if I can get hands on a comp trigger.

Are there any Rem 700 triggers out yet that come close to the AI trigger?
