The bulk of the material had to be removed one way or another...

The AU$690 (US$470) 'hinge kit' contained a hinge and 4 screws, no instructions, no Devcon and no latching cup n nipple.

The cuts were machined square in a milling machine, holes drilled and countersunk.

Devcon applied, re-assembed.

Thats highway robbery for the hinge. I’ve got a fixed stock AT and can understand why you forked out.

It’s not a pretty picture of a pretty rifle sadly didn’t have time to take any today. By the time I got to actually shoot I was losing light and had to many things still to do. Only got to shoot 4 rounds through my AI. This is only the second time I’ve got to shoot it. And I really couldn’t be happier with the gun. So I gotta keep bragging about it. It’s a AT LE. This group is with a 26” Win 6.5CM barrel. And ?? Prime Ammo. I’ve never been so happy with one of my bolt guns. Now I just need to work on me more. So this gun can really shine.

Nice setup!
I was wondering why the aimpoint micro is sitting on top of it ?
It seems to me you cannot look through the tiny thing, due to your turret blocking the view.
Just curious and thanks in advance for your reply !
You can indeed see the red dot and aim. That target is at 100 yards.

It seems to work well, thank you for your pictures and clarification.
Should have chosen my mount more wisely ( currently a Spuhr QDP-4002 ) or did you install the micro with a secondary mount of some sort?

Sorry to bother you with questions asides the AI :)

It's on the stock Aimpoint mount. I did it on purpose, because there's issues with bumping them into barricades on PRS matches, as well as putting my rifle in my Eberlestock.

Fellas, just chasing some info. For those of you with an AXMC, what model spuhr mount are you running (for a S&B PM2 5-25x, tenebraex caps)? And does Sam's thumbrest work with the AXMC?

The thumb rest will work on an AXMC as long as it has the folding buttstock.

Thanks mate, I live in a draconian state so the folder is out for now, but will be on the cards when I move soon.

Gold, cheers for the info mate. Is this the lowest that will accommodate the scope with no issues? And it takes it to approximately 40MOA of cant with the rail?

Alot of us run the sphur 4002 1.5" high 0 moa unless you need 40 moa.

I think it would be tough to clear a 1" high mount unless you pulled the front top rail off to give you more clearance.

Does anyone else run the AI AX bipod on their axmc? Curious as to how you preload it without some kind of edge to push against. The rubber feet spin like little wheels as soon as pressure is applied.

If you're in a situation where u cant load a bipod, just pull it into your shoulder with your firing hand.

Took the girls out to play yesterday.

AX HR1 HANDGUARDS from Victor Company works perfectly.

@blbennett1288 How's the BR functioning for you? Any magazine mods, etc?

I am using AX mags with the HRD 6mm mag adapters.

It’s been pretty good thus far. You have to run the bolt normally, no slow cycling, to get the case to eject properly. If you run the bolt slow it’ll hang up and stay on top of the mag, forcing you to drop the mag to clear the spent case. There have been no feeding issues per say, but one of my 3 mag adapters hangs up occasionally and rounds nosedive. The other 2 feed flawlessly. I’ll need to tinker with that mag a bit. But other than that everything has been plug and play.
