Donald Trump’s coronavirus advice just might kill us

In this amazing piece by David Scharfenburg of The Boston Globe we discover that "Covid-19 is a threat not just to our health, but our democracy". Co-pilot to the plague is one DJT.

The gist of the article is that the planet is misguided by Trump's every word, and every word between those words. And they are all bad words. And those words are all-powerful, inescapable, vectors (vectors infinitely more powerful than coronavirus itself) that will deliver (almost) all of humanity to 7th level of hell. Mr Scharfenburg is fantastical in his reprise of the Book of Revelation, which is galloping towards us like the horsemen of the apocalypse, except they are astride an especially wordy equine beast that sports an outrageously quaffed and rigid yellow mane.

Amidst the savage catastrophe he tirelessly rants about, David takes a brief respite when he is comforted by the thought that Fox News gobbling conservatives will suffer an especially dire fate due to the fact that their faculties and immune system are rendered defenseless after being slaughtered by the words and malignant advice of Tucker Carlson and Brett Baier. Yes, Tucker and Brett's words (and the words in between those words) are basically the anti-antidote. Fox newsers will find themselves in the eighth level of hell only to endure a repetitive shelling and flame throwing by the resident 2nd Panzer Division. Serves them right.

The energy that Mr Scharfenburg spent coming up with this thing is surely of an impressively high wattage.

So impressed by this article am I that a likening to a literary legend is called for. It seems to me that right there in the offices, perhaps a stall of the men's lavatory, H.P. Lovecraft's Nyarlathotep was reborn in the lower GI of Mr Scharfenburg. His magical instrument is his keyboard and his readership becomes enveloped in an acrid cloud of Trump derangement syndrome. The end of the world is at hand and upon tomorrow's dawn the fullness of the sun shall be dimmed by a swarm of Covid-19 virions so thick it blocks the sun. All thanks to DJT.

In "The Haunter of the Dark" Lovecraft puts forth Nyarlathotep in the form of a bat-winged monster that cannot stand a scintilla of light. Neither can Scharfenburg.

David Scharfenburg has been sent a link to this thread. I hope he has sufficient energy remaining to engage in a lively discussion.

Well maybe he'll convert to a religion that requires a turbin after the election?
Nostradamus said after 9/11 we would suffer from a guy wearing a blue turbin,

maybe it was Trump’s blue suit he saw,

I am currently scouring his verses for Trump references, if I combine words I can do it, but reading them in context is not as easy.

Doesn't he realize none of us watch fox anymore?

I bet the author votes republican, almost certain.......

Also, what does said author think we should do in case it is a viable threat to everyone? Shut it all down, hide in our basements and cower in the corner until the virus mysteriously disappears, everyone infected dies or they come up with a cure?

This flaming liberal is what is wrong with journalism. Especially when this ends up just like the rest of the pandemics that failed to wipe us off the face of the planet, nobody will take real journalism seriously, much like i do when i read his diatribe.

in "field of dreams" james earl jones utter the words "if you build it they'll come". and they did come.

today he'd be saying "if you ignore it [news] they'll go away".

there is a reason the idiot box is known as the "tell-lie-vision".
too many believe what the mouth pieces say without any old fashioned investigative journalism.
anyone can get a pay cheque for reading a script which has an agenda behind it.

these days only time i turn on the idiot box is to watch the motogp.
no agenda there, just a fight on 2 wheels for the title of world champion.

Hi,

Maybe when the shelves start drying up of Chinese made products it will encourage companies to actually manufacture products in the USA....

Win/Win in my book. so maybe the C-Virus was part of 4 dimensional chess....

Sincerely,
Theis
Don’t need the coron virus if they would get rid of regulation , unions, epa and welfare/disability .
And 99% of .gov “jobs”

No workers and too much bs and regulation is why all that stuff is overseas now.

The real problem for the leftists and leftist media is that their audience is dwindling.....
They have to keep coming up with greater and greater exaggerations to try and keep their sheeples attention. They don’t mind lying or fabricating entire stories based entirely upon their imagination and their agenda. I don’t think any of it will help them beat Trump in November.

What’s wrong with unions? I can tell you I would not do my job if it wasn’t Union. I personally think a few of them are extremely over paid for what they do. “ auto workers “. But for line clearance like I do we aren’t paid enough.

An employee should be able to fire and hire whomever they want. Unions artificially drive up wages and the consumer gets to pay for it.

All the union people I hear about are lazy parasites.
Then you haven things like unions protecting every dirt bag. Like the gm employee smoking weed and drinking during lunch.
And Obama turning bankruptcy law on its face and bonded shareholders getting screwed so the union doesn’t noose their pensions etc

Fuck unions. They are for losers. Just like the democrat party.

Sir, I mean absolutely no disrespect to you, and I don't know what you do for a living, but I grew up in coal country, with a good portion of my family working as union coal miners. I can assure you, the umwa doesn't truly give half a shit about the workers they "represent". Look at how the union leaders live, then compare it to how the actual workers live. Just my 2 cents.

That’s definitely not Ibew. My job non union is 14 bucks a hour for a foreman, I will take my 30 plus benefits. As for losers I don’t think so. Like I said a bunch of unions are bullshit but not all.

And where do you ever see normal laborers ever live like a c.e.o.. Just saying in my union I’m making way more then other area’s that are non union. And I can tell you I work just has hard if not harder than them. For instance the company I work for is in a bunch of states and 99.9% of the time when there is a accident it’s a non union area. Cheap pay equals shit labor.

Yup. Fuck that union too. Can’t make it in the real world. Have to have judges and .gov tax payer funded contracts to make people pay you too much.

Thanks for supporting socialism and killing gun rights

I can tell you for a fact any company in my union can definitely shit can any one they want. And definitely will while being under the influence. Just like races you probably shouldn’t judge all by a few shit birds.

Clearly you don’t know me. I’m probably the last person you should say that to.

Funny how union leaders and unions in general think it's their god given right to take worker dues and use it to fund communist politicians and those that like to destroy your freedoms.
There you go. In general not all. I personally don’t agree with everything they do. But I personally don’t think they are the worst thing going.

Did you click that link and see that your union 99% supports democrats monetarily?

Unions are just a form of organized crime and theft.
I’m well aware of what they are. Tell you what if you pay me what I get now I will work for you. And the last I knew almost every fuckin politician is corrupt and should be classified as part of organized crime. So what’s your point? Being taxed is theft I don’t reap a thing from them.

Lol.
Know how I know you don’t employ people?

Competing with welfare and .gov parasite “jobs”. Plus dealing with overbearing .gov regulation. = everything overseas.

Ask the Timken roller bearing company about profits and moving thousands of jobs overseas.
Thank you California school Teachers.

I drive by their steel plant everyday.

Back to your bullshit comment about lazy POS union people and not being able to fire them.
I was an Operating engineer for over 30 years, many of which were in management.
I had a 2 hour rule, if an operator showed up on my job I'd give him 2 hours and a check if he didn't understand production.

Last year we did a dual lay of 42"gas line that worked out to almost 900 miles.
We had rock, rivers, mountains, mud and a shit load of bad weather.
From start to finish we completed 99% of the job except the punch list in six months and a week.
Lazy?
Shit
Pretty nice to see 20 year old apprentices working on a job where they can make 100k in six months and learn a craft.
But don't think that it's easy money.

Lol. You did a job great. That’s expected. Now all the people that line supplies pay more for their gas due to artificial bloated labor costs.

Utilities are like .gov lite to begin with. No free market involvement so the tax payer/ electric:gas:water buyer gets screwed every time.

Funny thing is these assholes sure do like walking in their house and flipping their light switch on and turning the dial up or down for heat. Probably the first to bitch when it goes out. The rate this world is going nobody will be doing the work we do specially with people thinking we should be doing it for minimum wage.

So what’s your job great one? Where you feel the need to put others down. You must do something extremely important.

Now you're just talking out your ass.
There isn't one penny of government money involved.
It cost around 5.5 million a mile for 1 leg of pipe to be installed, the pipeline was paid off in less than a year.
100% of the product running through the line goes to a refinery to strip byproducts off then transported to an electrical generation facility.
Natl Gas and power in Ohio are among the lowest in the country.

Minimum wage should be non existent.

It makes it illegal to hire people worth less than some arbitrary number.

And LOL @ the idea there would be no free market solutions to utilities if union slugs weren’t the only choice.
Dude you must be a tool if you think every one in a union is a slug. I would love to see your ass on a pole restringing wire or in a tree getting it off the wires in a storm. Glad you feel some of us have easy jobs. Being in minus degree weather away from home working long hours definitely isn’t easy. Like I said before if you think me or anyone else would keep your power on for 15 bucks a hour you’re fucking nuts.

I did not read all the posts so this may have already been said.

It's not Trumps policy per se..

He is going with what he is fed by the experts that were in place prior to his presidency.

Maybe when the shelves start drying up of Chinese made products because of the mandatory quarantines over there it will encourage companies to actually manufacture products in the USA....

When I was hearing this week that automotive manufacturers were starting to run out of some parts all I could think of was.

"Don't put all your eggs in one basket"

Dumbasses.

You really like to talk out of your ass,if you're going to do it at least try to make it look like you know what you are saying.

There's plenty of non-union places to work, the problem is they can't compete because it all comes down to footage in the ground.
Care to explain to the group why the free market in the Drilling industry employees almost 100% non-union personal?

I can tell you for a fact any company in my union can definitely shit can any one they want. And definitely will while being under the influence. Just like races you probably shouldn’t judge all by a few shit birds.
You are absolutely correct. I know nothing about the IBEW. I do know that as a young'un, My mother took an office job at a non-union mine, not because it was non-union, but because they were hiring and we liked to eat and heat our home. Fucking umwa decides to strike at the union mines, kills a truck driver hauling "non-union" coal, and we got to sleep in the middle of the house because of death threats.
When you can't feed your fuckin family without fear of being shot, blown up, or wrecked, something is bad wrong. And yes, this has affected my opinion of unions since. When my grandfathers started mining, the union was a very necessary thing. Now, most are just another arm of the democrat party. If you don't believe that, watch who they endorse for the election, even with people working and the economy roaring like it is. Times haven't been as good for the American worker, in general, in a long time, but I'd wager there will be few, if any, get behind trump.

So what’s your job great one? Where you feel the need to put others down. You must do something extremely important.
I don’t like companies/consumers being held hostage and I HATE democrat supporters. Nothing to do with my over regulated job.

sounds like a real free market lol. Could your employee fire all the union employees and hire normal people?

Like I said they are not all like that. We can’t strike. Maybe I should quit my union job and work for less then twenty bucks a hour. Loose my house and everything I busted my ass for. Eat crackhead soup and watch my wife die from not being able to get the treatment she needs. Yeah I should do that just so I don’t work for a place that supports the Democrats. Great idea there is a shit ton of jobs for a 45 year old ex grunt with no education. I was one of those special kind of assholes that didn’t serve just for the G.I. Bill.

Nice answers from some one that has the money to drop on A.I. and Nightforce. Like I said you must have a really special job, one that never fucks anyone. My guess is you’re one of those over paid slugs that thinks they are better then anyone else.

If you have skills, why hide behind the legalized extortion?

they are Cesspools of entitlement and corruption. All they do is protect the mediocre at the expense of others. But keep telling yourself how virtuous unions are.
Sure I have plenty of skills. That sounds great I can make more money out right a hour but pay for my insurance out of pocket. And get laid off every winter so less time goes to my pension. Great idea.
