I really like the open top kydex/nylon hybrid friction fit mag pouches like the Esstac KYWI for a PRS match, but I can’t find anyone who sells something like for AICS mags. Does anyone know of something similar for AICS mags. I know all bungee tops and Velcro brands like TAB, but I really like the open top without going full kydex. I contacted Esstac a couple days ago to see if they could make an AICS mag pouch, but they said they don’t have a mold. But I’m wondering if you could modify the the inner kydex with a heat gun on one of their ar10 pouches to pinch hold the thinner aics style mags. Any thoughts?

Thanks for the feedback. I'm looking for something that's not full kydex. I like nylon because it usually takes up less real estate on the belt than kydex because of the hardware that kydex requires.

TACO or G-Code I've seen for that style.

Im curious what else you run on your belt and how many AICS mags you run if you are concerned about real estate? Not giving you shit, I realize there is life outside PRS, legit curious lol.

I only run 1 extra mag on the left side, a dump pouch and a first aid kit on the back, and sometimes a pistol depending on the match if it requires one. It's not necessarily about the taking up of real estate because of the things I need on my belt, it's more about the fact that I like the mag pouch in a certain spot so the clips or kydex don't jab into my leg/side in different kneeling shooting positions. I can deal with it, just trying to refine.
