Finally purchased a scale yesterday. I was, and still am anxious to load my first round in my own basement. Anywho, I went to fire up the scale about 10 minutes ago in my basement. The side of my basement that has the Hand Loading area in it is not heated. It's probably around 45 degrees down there. I went to fire up and calibrate my Hornady Digital scale, and no bueno. I gave it 20 minutes to warm up, still no dice. She's not responding to anything. I have it up here in the 75 degree main room of the house while I cook dinner. Hoping that after it warms up, she should be good to go. Touchy buggers, eh?

You mean it won’t power up or it won’t do anything after you power it up? 45 degrees is not even sorta cold. Maybe your scale is broken?

It powers up, but that's it. I gave it 20 minutes to "warm up" like the instructions said, and it wouldn't read anything on the display. It wouldn't let me calibrate. I'll try again after supper.

Sounds like DOA. Highly annoying, I know. Better totally dead than being flaky / unreliable.

Anxious to load, maybe, 10 rounds on my new press in my basement for my first time ever. Like a damned 5 year old over here at 0500 on Christmas Morning...?

Good luck. If it's battery powered, make sure you check the batteries to make sure they're installed correctly. Or the power plug is connected all the way, etc.

Warmed the scale up. Everything is back to normal. It's a Hornady Lock and Load scale... This one...
