Just got a victor company stock for my 10/22 target installed stock and rear spike per there instructions. Went to go re zero poi shifted down about 10 inches at 50 yards ran out of elevation in my cheap bushnell. Does this sound out of the norm?

Did the old stock have a pressure pad at the tip? Like on an older magpul stock maybe? I know when I switched mine it shifted quite a bit lower but didnt measure by how much.

It did have a pad but I sanded it out that’s when I found the action rocking in the stock so I ordered the victor company.

Did you reshoot after you sanded or just switch stocks? If you reshot/re zeroed and then it was still that low may be an issue...

I re zeroed in the wood stock and it held zero just didn’t group well at all. Then I put it in the new stock it was shooting so low I ran out of elevation trying to zero it. It did seem to be grouping better.

I planned on upgrading the scope. I’m thinking a bushnell forge 2.5x15. Just didn’t plan on upgrading this soon but if I do order a new scope should I plan on getting a 20 Moa base?

Just had an idea, did you check to make sure your vblock screws are nice and tight still? Is the barrel floating in the titan stock?

I checked the v block they are tight and barrel is floating I even put a washer under the action screw to make sure it wasn’t bottoming out

I had the same issue with the victor stock/spike set-up on my volquartsen summit. I was running a pst gen2 and only had 10moa up from my 50 yard zero. It shot great though so I left it alone and bought Burris xtr rings with the inserts to get about 45 moa back. I like the setup and it shoots lights out but I think the spike puts a weird torque on the receiver.

I ordered a 20 Moa base yesterday and a bushnell forge. Specs say it has 80moa of elevation so with the base hopefully I’ll have 60 Moa of up travel if that’s not enough to shoot to 100yards this thing is going down the road.

Good luck. My volquartsen has 20moa integral I believe.

I've been messing with 10/22's for a long time and I'd bet money that if you swapped out the barrel block for a "Gunsmither" block you'd be gtg.
