.22 Dasher reamer suggestions

Looking for suggestions on no turn neck size and Freebore.

Planning on running 88eld and 85.5 berger.

.254-.258 somewhere neck and .100fb, or what suggestions does anyone have?

Also, how is barrel life on .22br and .22dasher?

Different forum....same cartridge. I considered one for a while, but then went with a 220 Thunderbolt because I found an AR match rifle setup with all the dies, brass, etc. Performance wise I don't think it's any better than a 22 Dasher.

Hey just found this but did you ever end up build said dasher if so how did it end up cause I myself am planning on building one now running same bullets so just curious how it worked out for ya

@Seandradamus ran one last year with very good success. If I remember correctly, the freebore is extremely long to accommodate the heavies (specifically 95 SMKs)

That’s correct, 220ish freebore works well with 95s and 88s ... it was fast and fun , very little recoil and shoots inside a 6 dasher.. 95s at 3085

Now you've gone in the other direction with your 25 Dasher...

Next year I expect you to be shooting 30BR

Lol thanks, how was barrel life I’m kinda figuring 12-1500 Also what barrel length were you running cause my plan is stay in the 80-88 grain range and run a 20” tube

I would plan on 1500-2000 , mine was at 1700 when I stopped shooting it but it still shot bug holes , just didn’t want to start a new season on it. 26” barrel
Ps. I shot RL23 the whole time -possibly have the longer life

Sweet thanks that’s more than I was planning for but I still prolly plan a fuz less with little lighter bullets and pushing um up in the velocity a bit but I’m not restricted by speed limits as I don’t shoot comps I just like to tinker
