I have to stay here, can’t run to the other house in mountains. I will be so glad after Dec 1 when we move permanently to the hills.

My 1957 Gillette Red Tip Super Speed and 1973 Flare Tip Super Speed arrived.

The Red Tip is simply a gorgeous razor. I stole it for $30. The Flare is very nice as well for $12 how can you not buy it....

I have one more nearly mint vintage Gillette coming, a Slim Adjustable and I think I’m good for a while.

I found a cool art deco type stand on Etsy. It is 3D printed but looks like wood. It looks so ”50s” to me, it’ll hold 8 razors to display.

Trigger for my G17 came. I have this in two G19s and it is superb. It removes the 2 stage feeling, the Glock “wall” and creates a smooth short pull with no stacking. Eliminates over-travel too.

How does this work on the Gen 4? Does it make it close to a Gen 3? I have one of each and the Gen 3 is so much better. I need to replicate it.
My dad has another Gen3 he never shoots I have been after him to sell me. Seems to be taking a bit longer than expected....

Also, I have the cure for all this razor business you boys keep chatting about and wasting gun money on. Embrace your inner Jeremiah Johnson and let it all go wild.;)

Yes, all of mine are Gen 4. The Gen 3 trigger bar is different and will result is a slightly lighter pull. The Gen 4 bar has a small tab that keeps it from flexing but also causes more friction.

My two Gen4 19s have Gen3 Glock 17 trigger bars in them (The 17 shoe is smooth instead of having ridges) along with the Ghost Evo Elite parts above. Both have a 4.4lb (measured with my gauge in the center of the shoe) extremely smooth pull with zero stacking or “wall”.

This has made shooting controlled pairs much closer together as the tendency of the muzzle to dip left is almost eliminated.

This 17 is being setup the same way.

Note* you need the armorers type back plate to fit any of the Ghost connectors with the overtravel tab. Ghost sells this.

Hey, was someone thinking about using a straight razor to shave with? I thought I had one from a misc. auction buy and I do. I would be happy to pass it along to someone interested. Comes with a beat up original box.

Ha, ha, ha.......look at all that gray. Did I mention "Ha, ha, ha ?.......

Seriously E, good times. Good for you and good for your daughter. You'll be talking about that trip 25 or 30 years from now with her, with very fond memories. I'm very happy for you and her. ;)

I would be glad to pay for the shipping if you do not want it!

@Threadcutter308 - I have earned those grays. You know some of the stories.
I have hundreds more.
like the night I wanted to drowna guy who crashed driving drunk on the snowy mtn roads. With his 2 yr old grand daughter asleep in the back seat. On a blanket. No car seat. 3 rolls and upright in the creek.

a gal in my office Once commented on the gray in my temples.
I just squinted (my best Eastwood) and replied, “You know the best part about my gray hair? I just dont give a damn.”

At 59 and a grandma and she isnt comfortable enough to let hers show..... Women!!

I kinda like grays in a ladies hair. Looks good. Means there is a chance of some wisdom. 😉

Yeah, if things go as shown and forecasted, we will take a direct hit too. Sitting on the Chesapeake Bay waiting for the tide to roll in and then the wind. It's going to get ugly around these parts.

My wife will be 52 in Dec and retires with 30 years Dec 1. I have tried to get her to let her gray begin to show (sexy to me) or even color it totally silver but she says now that she’s a grandma she isn’t gonna do it 🤨

Let’s pray it weakens but man I sure appreciate the offer.

My last big maple has one of the main big limbs with a split I can see. I imagine this will ruin it. 🙁

I filled all my propane tanks, going to get plently of gasoline and check gennie today. It is so humid it’ll be miserable if gennie has a problem.

WRAL saying 70 mph wind here and 3-6” rain. We never flood here at the house as were up on a good hill but we have been marooned a time or two as creeks around us flooded.

Fitting the over travel just requires a little patience.

Another place that really smooths the pull is the “bend” of the connector in the housing. You want it slightly bent away from the housing, angled away from it as it sits in the slot so that it flexes slightly as it rides the trigger bar.

Too much bend makes a harder pull, too little the gun won’t fire.

Great video that explains it.

Gennie cranked on first pull (Sta-Bil 360 Marine FTW) and I guess we’re as ready as we’re gonna get.
Living about 6 miles to the east of 95 makes me wonder what we will actually get. Hunkered down with gennie prepped and staged in the garage

Hope it goes like usual.

Weather guessers panic.
District managers panic.
Area managers panic.
Need everyone to come in early to transport generators and pumps to offices that need them.
Sit in office all day playing pocket pool.

2 years ago when one was supposed to hit va beach, some genius sent down a list of stuff we should have on our vans. I told my boss there was no way I was carrying an MRE around.
