An interesting note is that SDNY made the case with USPS Postal Inspectors, not FBI. I wonder if this was why Berman was removed so suddenly?

Its odd the USPS Inspector would take the lead on this instead of the FBI.

In a totally unrelated item, the USPS union has fully endorsed Biden, btw.....

Unions rarely speak for their actual members. The union I begrudgingly belong to also “unanimously” endorsed Biden. Funny, I didn’t get a vote on that, and if they did put it to the union members ourselves I guarantee Trump would win by a landslide.

As for Bannon, I wouldn’t be surprised if he was funneling money nor would I be surprised if he was totally innocent and the Manhattan based DA was politically motivated with the charges. The swamp runs wide and deep.

I'm a former prosecutor and practice criminal federal law. I read the indictment, so let me sprinkle a few facts for you guys so you can remove your foil hats.

The prosecutor is not an elected Manhattan DA. It is an Acting US Atty (Audrey Strauss) appointed by Trump. She herself presented the case to the grand jury, which is rarely done. The SDNY is the premier US Atty's Office in the nation and can initiate a prosecution against just about anyone. But an indictment like this is definitely not done without knowledge and approval of the upper level attorneys at the DOJ in DC (a/k/a "Main Justice"). The investigation is over a year old, so William Barr has known about this investigation for awhile now and I guarantee Barr himself gave the final ok on it. It's not like he or the president first heard about this on CNN.

As far as the FBI or USPIS doing the investigation, it is not uncommon at all for the USPIS to handle a case like this. They handle a lot of financial fraud cases, especially internet based schemes like this.

From what I saw in the indictment, Bannon just about handed them a conviction with his emails, text messages, phony invoices, bank statements, credit card statements, etc. And right about now, the three schlubs whom he was involved with are all banging on the US Atty's office looking to give the DOJ the last 1% of evidence that they don't have.

Not sure I see anyone from the "thieving Left" in this equation.

I too am a union member (IAM) and I can guarantee the majority of the rank and file are Trump supporters. Anecdotal I admit but I believe Democratic Party endorsing union bosses are out of touch with their membership.

The unions stupidly cling to the Democrats.
The Democrats reward them by fucking them over every chance they get.

Was in the IAM 34 years and the dumb shits never learned.

The rank and file union members writ large do not listen to the douchbags at the top of the union's anymore.

Times have changed, 98% of the guys I work with despised the black baby Jesus, Hillary and now Joe.

The 'thieving Left' reference is because it's something the thieving Left are known to do, so much that it's ignored or allowed by the DOJ. Have the Clintons been brought up on charges for using the Clinton Foundation as their own slush fund?

I know, I'm a tin-foil hat wearing conspiracy nut and a racist for bringing up the C word.

That sounds legit, but I'll reserve judgement. I have ZERO confidence in the DOJ, the FBI, or any other fucking Federal three letter agency of deep-state corruption and malfeasance. If you think that's a tin foil hat opinion after the coup attempt, felonies, and the blatant treason of the last four years then it says something about your opinions rather than mine. I only trust what I an personally confirm now, and nothing the media reports.

Vote out top union leaders, hahhhhha lol.
You are delusional.

They are Democrats and they cheat.
They are in charge of the ballot boxes and the vote count.

Your vote if you actually went to the meetings ment nothing, it was a formality and just for show.

The ayes have it, bang gavel and run out of the building.

Only one way to get rid of a union boss.

So will the Clinton Foundation be held to the same standards?

You will get no argument from me that if funds were diverted, misused or stolen that people should go to jail.

Are all the other “Foundations” and not for profits going to get held to the same scrutiny? Or just Bannons?

sirhr

No offense intended to the union members, as I paid my dues in the steel mill for years, and thus worked with many union member brothers, but it's obvious the unions have leaders because the union members are not able to run the union themselves, for reasons which I do not need to explain.

If all union members are "98%" against their leaders as stated above, then just call for a vote and put them out.

If that's not happening, then the assertion that all union members are "98%" against their leaders is total bullshit.

Unions are actually somewhat close to a democracy in the real sense of that word.

So, if you don't like the leaders, shut up and run for a union management position yourself, even shop steward for starters, you might be surprised as to how well you'll do.

Or just sit there doing nothing and bitch and be unhappy. It's you union, own it.

Since that was directed at me, I'll bite.

Read this s slowly and absorb the words. I realize it is blasphemy to some.

It doesn't matter who the leadership is.
They lost control of the ability to sway votes years ago.

So, who cares about this "vaunted" position?
Why would anyone want to join them ?

The answer is this simply, yes, the vast majority of us trades workers do not listen to their propaganda.
Nor do we care.
So, it's actually very possible and indeed factual that 98% of the union folks I work with are not influenced by them.

I'm guessing that hits a little too close for you from the post above.

Facts are facts. The last "I vote what the union says" members are either dead,Dying retired or retiring now. So yes, we don't care about their views or opinions.

I don’t doubt that’s true. What about all your union dues going exclusively to the campaigns of progressives? If money was being taken from me and given to Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, “The Squad”, etal., basically America hating communists, I would be PIIIISSSSSSSED! I wonder how many votes your money buys to counter your single vote?

So answer this.
1: should I quit my job to avoid the dues dispersion. The same job that allows me, a poor, to donate money to several good charities, set my kids up in the future, buy high end weapons, nvgs, thermal etc., Spend money on political races that actually affect change, afford the ability to help others how to shoot properly, and the conversations included?

2: quit my job to avoid the dues dispersion and get a job that does none of that?

Or possibly a third option, according to your logic, you should stop paying income taxes immediately because some of your dollars are supporting foreign endeavors not good for the U.S., financial support for some of those same politicians you mentioned through campaign funds, planned parenthood, and several .gov agencies that appear to not be true believers of a little r republic.

There are dozens of more examples possible for number 3, but I think you see what I'm saying.

I’m just pointing out it’s not quite as simple as you’re making it out to be, in my provocative, dickish way. I totally don’t hold you responsible for the actions of your union, and I 100% support your right to associate with, bargain with, drink with, whatever with whomever you want to on an official or unofficial basis.

I‘m actually much more concerned my tax money goes to murdering American babies than what we do with it overseas...

I could join a union. This is the #1 reason I never have and never will until they wake up.

Once the unions remove themselves from politics I would consider it. Until then I'll negotiate on my own for myself.

I think we agree sir. 100%.

And yes, it really is very simple. My union dues are a pittance. Yes, numbers create more money going to commies, but if you were to look at the ratio I give just Samaritan's Purse and GOA, it quadruples what I pay in to the union easily.

Now if they were still garnering a majority vote for communists, the way they used to, and giving money, that would be a bigger thing altogether.

They don't. And really, the union doesn't pack the weight it used to.

Ironically at a time when a huge percentage of members vote Republican, the membership is dwindling.

I do find troubling when I see the things our fed .gov pays for with our money.

People hate on union folks, while the .gov screws our eyes out. It's really.... something .

No. If the union isn't good for you, hold a meeting and vote it out of your place of business, I'm sure your employer would by the donuts. If the union is good to you, and you say it is net good to you, then it's your obligation to care, and not afford yourself the luxury of not caring as you say about the union management ("Nor do we care.") If you don't do something it certainly won't be there for your kids, and maybe not for you, depending how old you are. The union movement in the USA is currently in its death throws, like a dying fish gasping on the beach, beaten back by big business and populated by lots of people who don't care to fix it, so the workers get what they get, which is a continual reduction in benefits, sold out by the union management and squeezed by the business. OH SHIT, I SOUND LIKE I'M A SOCIALIST!!!!
Hmmmm, yeah.
We don't care what they fund or vote for.
This is about union dues and votes.
That won't change, and who cares, WE don't.
Corporations, work visas, moving jobs overseas, regulations, environmental groups etc.,etc.,etc.,etc.,etc.

And you really think I'm going to worry about a union leadership issue?

It's delusional if anyone thinks THAT is the bigger dog in this fight.

Workers in this country have been sold out for decades by everyone.

What's the answer?

Well, it sure as hell won't fit on a bumper sticker.

... Not sure I see anyone from the "thieving Left" in this equation.

look pal, the problem with fact-based truth-telling posts like yours is that if everyone had their heads out of their asses then we wouldn't enjoy enormous pearls of ignorance and idiotry like this...

Something about a fundraising scheme and siphoning money from "Build the wall" donations fund. He was indicted by Fed. prosecutors in Manhattan *surprised face*.

This is classic thieving habits of the Left and a hit job by their weaponized corrupt, justice system.

read that last sentence again, out loud. If that doesn't speak to the exact same brainwashed, sound-byte on demand, disengaged brain auto-cue bullshit as the the left then... well... I just don't know what to say.

As someone who disliked Bannon from the get go because he looks like a pedo, helped a pedo become president and now is ripping off mental retards who thought they'd self fund The Wall I'm glad he's self-incriminated. It's sweet and salty, like sea-salt fudge from our Amish friends.

The Clintons are much better at this than anyone else and Barr doesn't have the horsepower to figure a way to nab them. I mean, when all your closest enemies suicide themselves at opportune times it means you have serious game...

honestly if I was both an idiot and useful I'd put one in the W column.

Steve will get off because they didn't actually lie, they stated every penny will go towards the wall. None of the donations were for a penny therefore they couldn't make any payments towards the wall. You have to read the fine print sometimes.

P.S. On a more serious note... this does make it easier to charge the Clinton Foundation, The Podesta Foundation and all the whiney little bi4#h congresspeople who launder millions through their 'foundations' in cases of massive fraud and worse. Hey, if Steve Bannon isn't exempt... noone can charge that the DoJ is going after political enemies. Just 'sayin.

If it involves monies being sent or through the US Postal Service, the Postal Inspection Service takes the lead much like kidnapping and the FBI.

The USPSIS has close to a 99% conviction rate IIRC. If they led the investigation those guys are toast.

Never pursue something that is not spoon fed to you.

Thats a good buisiness plan.

I understand jurisdictions and who is responsible for what (10 year cop here).

Since this was mostly through online donations across state lines, me thinks that would be money wire fraud and FBI territory. But, I could be wrong.

And where did this originate? Southern district of New York. Timing too suspicious.

my first thought

that makes me wonder during the Russia investigation all the emails were from the dnc and the clintons , and they tried to push them as from trump which they weren't . is the new York prosecutor now doing the same thing now on bannon ? can't wait to see this trial Micky mouse court with the clowns and face painting , shadow hand puppets every 10 minutes to keep the jurors attention so they are not triggered and start crying lol .I loved the claim that 100k split between 3 rich people would be enough to sustain their life style when they are multi million ares already . yea any misuse of the 20+ million would suck and yea rich people do really strange shit sometimes like Hillary Clinton selling 20% of the united stats nuclear uranium stock pile to the Russians for money in her foundation in the form of donations , but that is no biggie , and Winona Ryder did shop lift when she defiantly had the money to pay for the 20 dollar scarf , but to say they were substantiating their life style on 33,333 dollars each , is beyond unreasonable they should have stuck with they bought some hookers that may have happened who knows , maybe they wanted a huge coke party that would be a nice start would have gotten them 2keys in mexico + a bunch of hookers and sombreros so they would fit in . Or even done the NATO thing and exchange supply goods for sex favors . Entry to the united states for sexual favors I might buy that story as well .
