All Steel. Weighing as little as 22 oz.

As Defiance continues to innovate and find new ways to better serve their customers, we have pushed the envelope again. The anTi X is an ultra-lightweight action with integral skeletonized 20 MOA scope mount and recoil lug, that shares the same guaranteed head-space measurement as our Ruckus, Tenacity and anTi custom precision rifle actions. Using pre-hardened 416R stainless for the receiver and a 4340 chrome moly bolt, gives customers the smoothness, reliability and longevity that they have come to expect from Defiance Machine.

Saw some info on this, supposedly a steel action that's within a few ounces of a titanium action; integral recoil lug/scope base. What I got from it is they aren't fond of the heat properties of a Ti action, so they just cut a steel one down as low as they could, trying to keep a good balance between weight and strength.

That's just the regular anTi....

After thinking about this and considering the amount of stuff and options that are currently available from Defiance, the only guess I can come up with is a 22 LR action.

Is there a thread, on the Hide that discusses how difficult this action is to cock? I just put together a 6.5CM build utilizing an Anti-X (75⁰ bolt) and want to love it, but the difficulty in cycling the bolt doesn't line up with my use case.

75° bolt is always gonna have more force than a 90°. The standard 90° defiance aren't too bad.

I hear you. But comparing my 75* Anti to my buddy's 75* 737, the two are night & day. I replaced the factory spring with Defiance's 18 lb spring. It's definitely less force. I'm just hoping I still get good ignition (ie no light strikes).

Well, the difficult cocking issue finally caught up to me during a match this past weekend. The bolt is absolutely siezed / bound / galled in the closed position.
We were able to get the barrel off and the spent case fell right out with no signs of pressure. So a stuck case isn't the culprit. Still no movement on the bolt though.
We're at an absolute loss as to what could possibly bind up this bad in such a relatively simple machine with only a small handful of moving parts.
Reached out to Defiance hoping they have some wisdom on next step(s).

I don't like all the cut out area on the top of the action, for my tastes.
But it's supposed be light, so hang a light, or popular CF barrel on it and your good to go.
