Tell me pit dwellers, why don’t you have a boat?

Too many boats with too many idiots driving them too close together, like the boat parade,

“Outta the way buddy! I’ve got the right of way!” “Like hell you do! I do!” “You better yield!” “Fuck you!” “Fuck you!” *CRASH*, and of course no one has a life jacket on, but don't drop your beer!

Moral of the story.

Dont bring a 16 footer to a 40 footer party?

Because people run into them. On dry land. In front of your house. I learnt that on the internet somewhere.

I got you beat on that one. My ex ran into my Mako while it was in the driveway. She then bitched at me two weeks later about the dent in the garage door. I told her it happened when she crashed the new car into the boat. She had the audacity to try and say it wasn't her fault.

Well. My 29' Dyer got a new top last fall and a 23' aluminum NorthRiver Seahawk. Also have a duck boat and inflatable. As well as a 27' that'll be a future project. Sometimes I wonder how many AI's worth of boats I have. It's pretty sad.

I’m betting that there is at least one pit denizen that lost his boat at a Trump boat parade today. Probably swamped due to the weight of all of those guns...

fake news!

Had several. Now I’m landlocked and don’t care anymore. I laugh inside when I see the lake boat guys on the highway out here.

The reason I don't have one it's really simple. I'm smart enough to know that I can go rent one whenever I want and save a boatload of money
Exactly, owning a boat so you can get on the water more is like reloading so you can shoot more. Saving money is not in the equation. My favorite thing about renting a boat is hosing off the deck in 5 minutes and leaving it at the dock.

Don't have a boat because the 59 foot Amg Tirrana I want doesn't come with a easy payment plan even with a $5,000.00 cash down payment.

I live close enough to the Mississippi River to see it in 5 minutes. I have wanted a boat for 40 years and don't own one because?

I'm a Poor.

VooDoo

I had a Cobalt 272 with a Merc Racing 502 in it on my lift when I was in exile in Florida. Awesome boat, super comfy, fast and durable. Motor was blueprinted by one of the top off shore builders in the world. Everyl moving part dynamically balanced and such. Since I moved back home to CO it's been in storage in FL....

This one went on without a hitch...

I just got this boat at an auction a couple of months ago. 12FT Alumacraft R7. $260 It's very nice and small enough that I can manhandle it pretty good. Rated for 15HP and I kinda decided on a new Honda 15 HP. That motor seems to be the lightest, but they cost $3000+.

Because if it flies, floats, or fucks I rent it! I did briefly own an older 47ft Hatteras (inherited from my Dad) and slip rent was just shy of $10K a year and fill ups were about $3200 (held about 1200 gals of diesel). Loved the old girl but sold it and walked away...

Yeah, I've still got it. I'm having the trailer modified right now, so it's over in Plant City.

Forgot the push pole that day, but I'm more of a trolling motor guy anyway.

This beautiful calm desolate beach turned into a parking lot with no less than 9 other boats and all the fake Dudebros to show up not 40 mins after I parked it in the sand. Then the wind picked up and made 4ft waves making anything over 19mph impossible. But, hey, it was 100° and the water was warm. Another great day for the beach.

Had a boat here 3 days ago go over the dam. 3 college students were on board. A beautiful 20 yr old died. They found her yesterday. Sad situation. They were boat riding at night and apparently didn’t know the river is all I can figure.

I have a boat.
Dagger creek boat.
I have taken it off 20’ waterfalls.

Only one I have now.

Used to have 1/2 of a 24’ sailboat on Lake Dillion.
That was the way to go as a single dude in CO. Im a decent cook. A nice dinner, wine, sail with sunset up there was pretty solid.

The other dude got pissy. He never could talk to a lady, let alone get them to do a sunset sail.
