M24 iron front sight base

Sure thing, this is mine circa 04-05

First range trip...

Another range trip...I was getting mortared with snowballs. I'm laying on an authentic Eagle Industries HSRC drag bag from the ASAK. The TRGT data book was from the accessory kit too but you can just see the cover.

I didn't get a lot of pics of my M24 because I was usually busy but there you go. Was a good rifle, accurate, reliable, there wasn't a lot to complain about it with it.
Cool, did you hit anyone in that house?

I guess I am not that crazy about an object, there's no need.
Yeah, cuz there'd be no need to put something like this on it.

I think the concept of this post is 'Hard (for you) to get'.

I'd like to see some pics of your personal M24s if you have one....

Well here are 3 of my M24s I've possessed over the years.

My first M24 was a classic M24 hand me down that I inherited from my senior, unfortunately there are very few pics where taken of her (pre-smart phone days). This pic was taken on my finial shot at SOTIC by one of my instructors. You can't see much, she sported a Nightforce NXS 3-15 F1 on a McCann and eventually a Badger DBM. She made her final trip in 12' which included some impressive feats while playing wack a mole at 1800+ meters.

My second M24 was this fine beauty. I got her in almost virgin condition, keep her pretty basic and loved her well, she spent a lot of time with me at during my tour teaching SFSC. We since parted ways but I've seen seen her pop up online several times over the years.

^ there's a good sight block porn pic for you.

Lastly here is my current M24A3 in .300WM. She came to virgin as well and is pretty much everything I've ever wanted in a M24. My only real complaint is a 14-15lbs .300WM means about 60 rounds is all I can really get out of her a day before I can't think straight. I've only had her out to 1500 meters but suspect she'll do 2K on a claim day.

This rifle actually got me in a bit of trouble not long ago. We were training on the GPMG range up in Jericho VT, the sniper range 6-2 over looks/laps the Machine Gun ranges farther to the north. My unit was conducting sniper sustainment training but our lane wasn't really "target rich" but the company sized POG unit training on the GPMG seemed to be having some trouble with their target array. I may or may not have jammed up all my mags with A191 and clammily awaited the towers commands from the adjacent range. On the command "TARGETS!" I (may or may not have) promptly went to work falling targets and proceeded to qualify the entire relay as experts. That M24 was a laser beam, zapping targets from 600-1100 meters as fast as I could work the bolt. Of course no good deed goes unpunished, and after the 3rd iteration the gig was up as they caught on. I got my pee pee stomped pretty good the next morning and had my OIC privileges revoked for a time. I suppose (assuming I had actually done it), that I certainly deserved it, however my teammates seemed to get a good laugh out of the jest and probably even more so out of the epic ass chewing I received.

I always like those updated M24, is a Leupold 8-25 x 50 with the M1 turret? I saw the NSN for this scope one time, but had no idea where they would use it on, so they used them on the M24A3....

No that there is a Mk4 ER/T 6.5-20x M5A (from the M2010). I like the M2010, they look good and shoot even better but at 20-22lbs. all dressed up she a pig. The A3 even with a UNS, LA5 and suppressor is only at 16-17lbs. that weight makes a lot of difference when your humping ridgeline to ridgeline.
