I would like to know what that guy did, in your opinion, that was moronic? I really don’t understand why everyone is calling this man stupid. What did he do wrong? The only thing I can see is mixing it up with the agitator in the first place, but we have no idea what precluded the altercation.

The shooter was well trained his draw stroke was smooth as silk. He’s got a Streamlight TLR-2 as a weapon light( cost more than a lot of pistols) a MRD sight, and he footwork tells me that he was shooting a modified Mozambique Drill. Instead of 2 to the body and 1 to the head, he just ended it with one to the head. This lefty was no joke. I’m new to distance, but I’ve shot IDPA and USPSA for years. That guy had to have practiced that move several hundred if not a thousand times to be able to have a defensive move, to a back step, draw from appendix concealment, and make an 0 zone head shot. That type of skill doesn’t come about without a shit ton of drills. CQB skills like that are not picked up on DVDs or YouTube.
Hurricanes. Also got tired of heat stroking out at work 2-3 times a year.
My understanding is CC is okay. open carry is not allowed in Denver or Denver County owned property, which includes some pretty rural areas.
I'm not a lawyer but I play one on internet. So it's a pretty safe bet that 9NEWS and Pinkerton might be losing or settling a pretty big lawsuit.

This guy has been all over the Chans the last couple of days - general thought is he is a paid agitator that works closely with Ch9 news in Denver. He has been arrested several times for such.

Not moving the goal post even a bit , but flights of fancy based on who got shot and who did the shooting seem to name of the game here.
Fully agree walking away was the smart thing to do for both of them and they both lost one more than the other.
Face it guy that got shot was a moron and the guy that did the shooting an idiot both were itching and equipped for a fight, the end result of bringing a peperspray to a gunfight we can see.

If dead man intended any deadly force on shooter guy he would have used it from the get go.
His not reaching for his gun indicates he never had deadly intent.
When shooter reached for him he used his bitch slap as intended.
Shooter lost his cool, and finding his hand full of something as shooter drew the Millner instinctively raised his piece........uh Bear Spray.
Keep your dominant hand empty and your less lethal in the off hand or at home.

yeah, originally I thought the guy was already drawn and closing the gap, singling out the guy, which many of us thought was weird, initially. More on that in a minute. Anyone with any training could certainly tell that homie wasn’t new to firearms and had some training or lots of practice to say the least. But now that I know more of the story I will admit my initial conclusion of him moving towards the victim was wrong as we can see more of what transpired, but it just bolsters my original argument that he is no newcomer to firearms.

Colorado is a "shall issue state".... admittedly, I have not read all 8 pages here, but has anyone been able to determine factually if the shooter had a CCW permit? I believe I read where it was debunked that he was a licensed security guard and that Pinkerton had no affiliation with him...

Pinkerton says he worked for a subcontractor, his lawyer says he has done security work for over a year now, he had CCW , but no licence for security work at least not in Denver, the subcontractor is not being named.

.looking at the photos and then the pieced together video like projection of individual photos it looks like the kind of thing that you might see in a "road rage" incident... someone gets cut off, takes offense to it, gets a bit over the top and runs the guy off the road and approaches the car for a discussion then throws a punch... upps, gets shot for it... I am not excusing the shooter in anyway, he deserves what he gets for going super hot carrying a 19...
we all have to look at these protests as though they were one slap away from going to the "peace maker".... pick your fights carefully... going to a gun fight with mace is not a winning move... staying away and not escalating let's you see the next sun rise.... saying that, the more of this that happens, and it will, hastens the day when it is going to "open gangway" on shooting in the streets...

As stated, shooter had a CCW and had since 2018. after being arrested, the sheriff in the county the permit was issued revoked the status.

I agree.... the other observations I have with this shooter are these:
1.) he had to be fairly well heeled... the rig he was carrying was around $600 for the 19 MOS, another $400 for the Trijicon RMR and around $200 for the new compact Streamlight..
2.) he was carrying charged... from the photos there was no move to pull the slide to arm the chamber... he was a major accident waiting to happen, or he intended fast fast action...
carrying a charged chamber to a conflicted protest rally is, to me, evidence of intent... just waiting to be incited.. the guy needs fried but in Colorado not likely...
I hope he was not a USCCA member... if he was, then there has to be a cold decision made on that side regarding his defense
