It's been a bit of a black hole when it comes to 2021, with SHOT canceled and people anticipating a weird year there is only a little buzz going into 2021. Heck I know many products from 2020 were not quite released as promised, delayed is a word.

So this being said, what are you all looking forward to using, seeing, buying for 2021?

Most of what I have been seeing are small tweaks to existing products, like reticle changes or variations to the platform like Vudoo is doing, what else is there ?

    Seems awful quiet

Most of what I've heard industrywide (and even other businesses outside the firearms industry) is that everyone is so busy they are having trouble keeping up. This has been a weird year for businesses, and unless you own a bar, theater or are in oil and gas, you are busy. I don't expect to see a lot of new due to lack of hours in the day, but we will see.

Keen to see if MDT releases anything about the new JAE stocks but I just really want to see rangefinder binos with a reticle.

The tmb (tuner muzzle brake) is coming which will help guys out that shoot factory ammo and make load development quicker.

Shot show timeframe is when preorders will become available and multiple videos and full details will be released.

Again like everyone, the virus and election has slowed progress down and you just have to book things in, get in line and wait and buy every bit of ammo and reloading supplies you can find in the meantime. Lol.

    Hi,

So after this year of relocating company, FEA, Changing certain alloys, way more FEA, completely scraping original chassis, heavily modifying another chassis, etc etc.....

We are hopefully about 2 weeks from being finally able to go into production mode.
Receiver and chassis at coating now, then to Tooley for the LHGT barrel..then to breaker of anvils, lol

Here is 3 lug bolt cycle of raw metal.

Here is Pass by video showing entire rifle.

    Sincerely,
    Theis

Curious to see what if ZCO puts anything new out in terms of reticles and/or scopes (7-35 maybe? ...please!)

Tuners have been really interesting this year, and the new TMB combo is pretty cool concept. I'd like to see something similar begin to be integrated with suppressor mounts. Maybe a new project for Area 419? Modify their existing adapter to incorporate a tuner since it could work with both their existing suppressor adapters and muzzle brakes.

Otherwise, I'm most interested to see what happens in the 22 lr world, especially with the solids and extended ranges.

Can I just drive to Gastonia and pick mine up? I need to go to Charlotte anyway 😂😂😂

I want to put the new Rocky Mountain Tactical support tripod and ballhead to the test. Can’t bring myself to spend close to 2k on a tripod. For an American made tripod for 1k I’m in

we have the tripod at the range, it's okay, the legs are solid there is no head I saw, I put an Anvil head in place of where the leveling base would go. We put a RRS Leveling base on it and it doesn't work the screws are in the wrong location, so just using their $600 legs and then adding a $350 Anvil works well.

Ya reticles are coming from several places, reticles are like saying Gen .5 upgrade

The tuners are defiantly interesting and I can see them being the next big thing. I’d like to see one with an adapter to run a suppressor on the brake with a tuner.
Aside from that, I’m just hoping I can find some more primers. 🤷‍♂️😂

Mostly looking/hoping for new scope models. Something in that cross-over application that everyone else seems to be talking about too:

3(is) on the low end, 15 - 18(ish) on the top end
    FFP
Large floating center dot (0.075mil range) with 0.2 mil hashes, 0.035 - 0.045 mil inner reticle thickness with bold outer lines starting at about 6 mil, tree starting about 1-mil below main cross hair - slightly modified MPCT-2/SKMR3/EBR-7 (but who's asking)
    illuminated
    30mm main tube (maybe 34) with 42 - 50mm objective
10 mil/rev turrets with true elevation zero stop (maybe locking elevation) and locking windage (maybe capped)
Weight in the +/- 26oz range
Typical form factor - not an ultra short
    Street price of $1,500 - $2,000(ish)

I'm looking to see whatever Bushnell Elite Tactical upgrade will be coming out.

The upgrades to the Athlon Cronus BTR were a little underwhelming, but maybe a 3(ish) to 18(ish) would be a 2021 release?

Maybe Vortex pulls it together with a lower power AMG (4-16 or 3.5-14)?

Was told in several emails that the PSA
JAKL would be released 2020. 17 days left

What spec aluminum are you using? What is your plan for the surface treatment.

    Hi,

7075 T6 that will be Type III hard coat anodized.

Here is brief show of the folder operations.

Very nice! Are you planing to be able to ship to customers this year?

Which adaptor plate does it use?

How do the legs compare to the RRS legs? Was looking at doing that exact combo right there with the anvil 30

T.Rex Arms have dropped their plate carrier and chest rig, specifically for the civilian market. They've said there's more nylon gear on the way, with a focus on supply chain reliability and gear in stock, which is more than can be said for some of the other manufacturers.

We have some stuff in the works! JAE's are on track and we're making good progress on them :)

We're also working on {REDACTED} which will be launching on {REDACTED} and weigh {REDACTED}!!!!! After that we should be ready to start teasing {REDACTED} which will be a cool add on to {REDACTED}. I am sure that you guys will love them and all the other cool stuff we have planned for '21 ;)

I got a peek at the new stock a few weeks ago. Did you guys end up shortening the minimum LOP?

Flex Tac released the Flex Micro Chest Rig for 2021!

The pouch looks large enough to hold all those tactical dicks HMFIC just got for Christmas too.

@TheGerman provide us the rundown for this piece of kit in a urban environment?

Is it bad that I actually considered buying this for like 2 minutes?

Then I realized my Crye Airlite chest rig is more expensive (and 10 times as good), and didnt.

Did someone page the destroyer of all that is tactical??

And come on you can get a 1000 primers for the low cost of $300 on Gunbroker. What more you want!? LOL ;)

Yeah, same here Frank. They sent me one of their tripods to play with back in August, but no head so I just put a BH-55 on it. Works great, tripod itself seems pretty solid & well done to me,...maybe a bit taller than necessary. I wouldn’t mind it being just a bit more compact when I’m carrying it around. Really glad they went with the 3 section leg design rather than the original 4, ...smart move in my opinion. But what the hec’ is up with the head they were gonna roll out with it? Nothing but radio silence from those boys for quite some time now. Any word?

Got ahold of them earlier this week. Said they are 2 weeks to a month out on the ballhead supposedly. They are making some for a .mil contract so they have to be approved before they can go out. Also said they resigned the head to have some sort of auto lock feature. Interested to see how that turns out.

This and the new Bushnell Elite line are what I am most interested in. If anybody can spare a crumb of intel, please do.

I want to see the trijicon Ventus come to fruition
To use MDT_Josh's cleverness. I know that {REDACTED} was supposed to come out with something very similar, that was the product I was waiting for, but the Chinese virus and the worlds foolish response to it has wrecked havoc on everyone's timelines. Until that happens the Ventus is definitely something to watch...

This is interesting, I'm curious how it works with a suppressor because adding a suppressor to your barrel is itself going to change the harmonics, is it not? So would you have one setting for just a brake and another setting for with a suppressor?

Yup. Changing ammo will require a change. Anything that changes the harmonic will. Would be that way with any tuner. I run mine with just a brake so once I get my settings I am fine and no need to move unless I change ammo.
