There is an outfall and stated in my post sewerage is treated before it gets to the pipe.
The big "Egg" collectors are visible for miles.
As for the effluent being cleaner than tap.....that may be so but I aint drinking it.
I know this is your business so I wont claim greater knowledge.
I do know that the harbor has become a much cleaner place. It amazes me what the waterfront is now like but I wouldnt call Boston the working water front of say a place like LA. Pretty sleepy, probably a few big ships a day, most stay out at Subaru pier dropping off cars.
As far as dumping into the harbor....separation of waste and sewerage is ongoing.
In suburbs its a fact of initial construction.
In town, still a work in progress in some places.
Old brick culverts are either separated or new lines are run.
The govt takes every opportunity to put the screws to private builders when they seek permits......"Replace/Seperate this combined sewer/drain line or you get no permit".
Im pretty confident in my Quabbin water being clean.......we do pay a pretty good buck for it though....$400 plus a quarter.
Still beats being in teh southwest where the decision to build or not is made based on water rights.......you either have them or you dont.

Generic, nothing special just wanted to fill some chipmunk holes and the areas where their tunnels settled. Stuff sucked.
You are right I didnt read the ingredients. It was a bag of dirt. Figured someplace you had peeps mixing proper amounts of clay, sand, and organics to make Loam......guess I figured wrong.
