I walked to and from school starting in first grade (less than a mile). One day I get home, my mom meets me on the front porch and beats my azz and makes me strip naked before I went inside. It had rained just before school let out and my bud and I found every mud puddle on the way to see who could get the biggest splash. She was returning from the grocery and saw us.
She ratted out my bud to his mom, as well.

I was the youngest of 3 boys.
My mom had it figured out by then.
I knew to not do that in "school clothes", or the 2 new pairs of jeans that didn't have stains and holes I got in Sept and nice shirts.
Change, then go play. get as dirty as you want (except on Wednesdays, weekday church night)
If we were too muddy, we got the garden hose outside, strip down to skivvies and go take a shower. She would re-hose the clothes off before washing.
I have pics of my brothers and I after frog hunting where the only stuff not covered in mud is our eyes and our teeth. I will have to find those. Good times. Lots of fat bull frogs in gunny sacks I remember!

Are you saying, after 3 giving birth to 3 boys your mother figured out what was causing that happen.
More that boys were just going to be incredibly messy, easier to figure a way to deal with it with boundaries rather than be stressed about it.

EddieNFL - I remember days like that as well. A pair of shoes and two pairs of Sears Toughskins at the start of school. You NEVER went out to play in school clothes

I think it's pretty obvious that he's stealing the blue flat bed cart, hahaha. That's going to be in the bed of his truck in about 30 seconds. Then he'll come back tomorrow and return the wheelbarrow.
