Anyone Else Eat Breakfast For Dinner?

Hmmmm, deep fried pancakes. Interesting concept. If you're making fried chicken and waffles, why not deep fried pancakes?
Yeah i never thought of it before she mentioned left over pancakes.... but cut into strips and deep fried with some powdered sugar and syrup and that would be banging, banana pancakes.

I don’t like breakfast foods. I refuse to eat them for dinner.

Hell yes......just had some leftover strip with fried tators, eggs on the new Blackstone griddle
It’s about time someone said something about fried potatoes. It’s not breakfast without a carb load. Bacon and over easy eggs right on top of the spuds. Or I do make some pretty solid chorizo. My family recipe from Mexico. Don’t know how far it goes back, but learned from my great grandmother. Lightly browned and then pour in whipped eggs. Serve over, you guessed it, fried potatoes.

Geez all the time...it's almost like comfort food lol...

All meat scramble rolled up in tortilla...with milk
Soft eggs with taters and bacon or sausage...with milk lol
Biscuits and gravey...biscuits from scratch...with milk lol

Those are our favorites...usually once every three weeks on average...the wife loves pancakes too but rarely for dinner...same with french toast and waffles... /shrug

l like scrambled eggs and omelettes but mostly i like runny yokes broken over the potatoes or fried rice (we eat fried rice for breakfast).

That's a new one...I love soft eggs...really hate hard ones...soft eggs over potatoes is normal and I love that...I also love fried rice...it never occurred to me to try soft eggs over fried rice...I'm going to have to try that !

I like to take left over brisket and cube it, and cube up some taters and cut some onion and put it all in a cast iron skillet. In my opinion this is the ultimate breakfast. I gave this alot of thought.

Spam is just spiced ham. Any recipe calling for ham can use Spam. I keep about 6-8 cans of Spam on hand all the time. It can be added to just about anything. I've had it with Mac & Cheese too.

I can also eat a ham, egg and cheese on toast sandwich any time of the day or night.

That's my go to, when I'm not interested in fixing a complete meal. Two eggs, 4 slices of imported ham lunch meat and two slices of American cheese.

That might be what I have for breakfast today......

Is this a joke? Spam is most definitely not just spiced ham.

Hey hunny.... when you're at the store... can you pick up some more.... Pearl Minning Company? It just doesn't sound right.

According to Spam's Wiki:

"Spam's basic ingredients are pork with ham added, salt, water, modified potato starch (as a binder), sugar, and sodium nitrite (as a preservative). Natural gelatin is formed during cooking in its tins on the production line.[3] Many have raised concerns over Spam's nutritional attributes, in large part due to its high content of fat, sodium, and preservatives.[4]"
So, not spiced ham. It literally means Specially Processed American Meat. It doesn't mean spiced ham.

Other than the salt, it's a basic survival food. Some will boil it when taken out of the can to remove some salt. I've eaten it right out of the can, fried it in it's own fat, boiled it. It's good no matter how you prepare it.

Hamburger steak, hamburger stew, hamburger sammich, coconut hamburger, fried hamburger, boiled hamburger, hamburger gumbo......

I was at a dinner and they served mac & cheese with bits of ground beef in it. It wasn't bad, but not something I'm going to try at home.

Hell yeah. I’ve been on midnights most of my career so I eat breakfast for dinner and dinner for breakfast quite often.

But then again, when I get up at 8pm, is it really dinner time or is it breakfast time? F*&k, it’s bedtime, (11am) and now I’m too confused to be able to fall sleep.

Still got my Spam cooking vid from 12 years ago. :ROFLMAO:

Used to travel to matches close to Ft Rucker. On the return trip we passed a country restaurant called Mom's. Never tried her lunch. Country fried steak and gravy, over easy and grits or corned beef hash with grits and eggs.

I gotta say, I've gained 4 lbs since starting this thread. Last night's dinner was the largest meal I've eaten in probably 2 months and now the ham, egg and cheese sandwich to start today.

I'm enjoying the feasts but it doesn't do my weight loss program any good...

Except for bacon, there's never a reason to eat any of that breakfast shit. Especially cereal... Or, milk in general...
Milk is an excellent source of protein, maybe a source of the best protein out there according to many dieticians. And, admit it, who doesn't like Honeynut Cheerios? My kid introduced them to me over 15 years ago. Nom nom.

I don’t know if I’m a little touched in the head or something but I can’t fucking stand spam. I’m gagging just typing this and thinking about it.

i almost always get country fried steak and eggs if we go out for breakfast, mostly because we don't make it at home.
i do make sausage gravy and biscuits.

There’s a diner near me that serves a bacon cheeseburger between a sliced biscuit and smothered in sausage gravy. It’s way too much food but I can’t not eat it all because it’s so good

We hav breakfast for supper at least once a week in the winter. A lot of times its with chocolate gravy too!! 😋😋😋

Did you try to eat it straight from the can? Fry it up and most like it. But I guess there could be some who will never like it.

In tough times, I like to say it will make a turd. That is all...

I've learned with my new attempt at losing weight to never deny yourself a food that you want. Just don't eat the entire thing. I love a seafood alfredo from a particular restaurant. When I first started the diet, I was craving this platter. I ordered it. Ate about a third of the dish but ate all of the seafood. I was full, didn't take too much of a hit on the calories and my cravings were satisfied.

If you don't feed you mind, you will overfeed your stomach. The biggest thing I've learned this time is that I can go on a strict diet and find myself cheating which causes my weight to yoyo or I can do a push away diet and be perfectly satisfied when I go to bed each night.

It’s a little better as an ingredient and I could indeed make a turd if I had to but it will have to be very hard times for me to buy spam on purpose

My wife is very pregnant right now so any ideas of dieting are a complete joke. In fact, I’m gaining a bunch of weight in solidarity with her right now…

But once the new kid is born we’re going keto again. Or, she’s going keto and I’m going to try the carnivore diet. We’ve both been neck deep in diet info and experiments for several years so it won’t be a problem.

Congrats on the pregnancy and good luck on the upcoming diet or should I say a life changing eating habit.
