I bet you couldn't see him as president and running the country either.
Well HE isn't running the country, HE isn't giving the orders. But whoever is giving those orders, THEY will follow them.
They will tell everyone after how sick it made them but they will muster out and obey.

Actually saw this happen one time. We were fishing on the San Juan below the dam when a guy in a Nissan Pathfinder pulled into the upper parking lot. Driver gets out of the car with his friend is still in the passenger seat. Car goes through a small barrier and heads down a very steep slope down to the river and made a hell of a noise. Luckily the vehicle remained upright and the passenger was shaken up but unhurt. It took the rest of the day to winch the vehicle back up.

There are two provisions in the Constitution for its suspension.

one is an amendment declaring the constitution suspended, although such an amendment itself might be unconstitutional.

Second, a Convention of the States, where a new constitution is voted upon and placed in stead of the current constitution.

Contrary to popular belief, there are zero provisions in the Constitution for martial law.

Zero, zilch, nada. And even fewer for the legislature to grant such broad powers to the executive. Nope, not there.

Zero, zilch, nada.

Before we begin to argue the scope of such powers, let’s agree that each time martial law has been declared in the US (seven times), it was an unconstitutional power grab and any future declarations of martial law will be similarly outside of the Constitution.
