a little while a ago saw one. cleaned up, pellets out (7 shot), dressing, watch for a day to make sure ok, go home. less than 10' distance.

Im still sticking with a 9mm pistol or a 556 AR

At less than 10 FEET?
7 shot? As in number 7 shot size or that's the total number picked out?
If the injury was no more serious than that, it must've only been a grazing wound where they were hit by a few fliers or else the pellets were from a pistol shot cartridge or a .410 pistol.
No way they took a solid hit from a shotgun at that distance without being seriously wounded or killed.

Must vary state to state. Home invasion in Florida is covered under 812.135; burglary is 810.02.

This particular one occurred in CA. People constantly do “home invasion” but hardly ever get the strike for it. Been like that for 20 years now.

I keep a 7.5 inch 7.62x39 ar next to the bed as well. Not a lot of suffering going on except my ears after it goes off.

Im a tad busy this week and when I get back from vacation, filing paperwork for a Form 1 Ti can so I can say something besides "what" and "who's phone is ringing" all day.....

Rooster, you can make one in 30 cal.
Though I wonder if you are commie between the mall crawler and that caliber....

Funny I shot one of my highest sporting clay scores ever (90) using #7 steel. 1 oz of #7 steel has more pellets than 1 oz of #8 lead so your pattern density is even better.

Neither clays nor quail are difficult to kill. Anyone who can't get them done with steel sucks, not the ammo.

Also killed plenty of teal with #6 steel (mass equivalent to #7 1/2 lead)

Steel doesn't carry the energy.

Our sporting clays course you can have 60 yard shots, and even with lead we pick up clays with holes in them that haven't broken.

I use BB or BBB for ducks and geese. To many wounded with #2's and #4's unless you can get them to damn near land on you.

I usually keep my can on it, while it's in the house.

When shooting clays pattern density more than makes up for it. If I was still shooting clays competitively (got to A class by the time I got burned out) and I could find steel 7s for 60 bucks a flat I'd shoot all I could find. Maybe carry a few lead 8s for close in rabbits since steel patterns a bit tighter.

I roll the other way, I'm trying to get a wider pattern with my Belgian chocked Super. Says F/IM. Measures XF/F. I used Fiochi spreaders to great effect if I'm not shooting AA.

They don't offer a description or have a pic of the 'alleged' intruder but I'm getting one of my visions.

So he kicked in the door when nobody aswered the door bell… but they still say “alleged” home invasion? Ain’t no alleged about it, what the fuck else would it be at that point if not a home invasion
He dropped in unannounced?

Fortunately, the homeowner was home and was able to turn his life around.

It wasn't a person. It was a lawyer. Just 'sayin.

I went to school with his daughter. She was very pretty, prim, quiet and reserved and always very well dressed.

She wasn't snooty but you could tell she came from a very good family and was wrapped up tighter than a preacher's daughter.

It wasn't a home invasion. He was simply trying to contact the owner about his vehicle's extended warranty

The police protect criminals, and try to make criminals of productive members of society.

I had a attempted home invasion years ago, middle of the night, nice area too, I greeted the hoodlums with my pistol, they scattered like roaches, I called the local donut squad, they found the criminals and gave them a trespass ticket, than proceeded to lecture me about being a non cop and daring to have pistol to protect myself from their criminals.

Part of why I was into defunding the police long before it was cool

Did you bang her?

Sirhr
I was lucky to bang the known sluts.

All the fun girls, the wild cock gobblers that would pull a train every weekend, were in the graduating class after my class. We were stuck with the Class of Prudes.

Meanwhile, the class two, three years behind me, many of the girls went on to work in tit bars and become biker chicks. One of the biggest sluts went on to become a cop.

Was this in the black part of Virginia? If so, I read about it in the papers.

Your class was a bunch of faggots. That's why. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Betty White is one awesome broad... some of her quotes...
“Get at least eight hours of beauty sleep, nine if you’re ugly.”
People say, ‘But Betty, Facebook is a great way to connect with old friends.’ Well, at my age, if I want to connect with old friends I need a Ouija board.”
“Why do people say ‘grow some balls’? Balls are weak and sensitive. If you wanna be tough, grow a vagina. Those things can take a pounding.”

You have to be right.
I have never worked on a patient in the OR and evaluated a wound. Never heard from the Police the story of what happened. Never not once. certainly must be I did this just once and screwed it up royally.
Or in 2 decades of working my ass off, Im pretty decent at it.
Not because I am smart, but a blessing from God. I make mistakes all the time and this time I am not mistaken. I reviewed that chart thoroughly and even did a couple case presentations on it to teach.

So yes, close distance, a 20g with number 7, was fired at a person. Untold number of pellets (LOTS, I dont remember the count) and the wad stuck in the wound.
Wound cleaned and dressed. CT scans done, no major damage.

Now, you wanna talk about those really cool breacher rounds full of powdered steel at point blank range (barrel a foot from human)?

That will mess a dude up forever!!!! and yeah, seen that too. Wish I could share the pics. They are epic.

I was thinking more along the lines of a civil suit against his estate. Maybe he has a shoe collection or a gold grill that could cover the damages.

I like your style though.
Shoe collection......that's hilarious!

Too bad you weren't around when my cousin got shot while bird hunting, maybe you could have saved him.....

I worked for a veterinarian in high school. He grew up on a big family ranch here in central Texas. So big he would have to drive to see his cousins and never get off the ranch. This was way before internet and video games and to pass the time he said they would get into shotgun battles, kind of like paintball but using birdshot. He said he still carried birdshot in the side of his face.
