So my employer went full retard and is mandating the vaccine for the small amount of us actually working in the building. The department I am in has a total of 12 people and we are all spread out now. 99% of the desks are empty as most everyone is working from home. A few of us simply can't due to the type of work. The group here has been working since the start of this thing last year. We have mask mandates, partitions, tons of testing and a few cases. They recently opened our local repair counter and require customers to wear masks, but are forcing us to get the vaccine (both doses) by 9/20/21. The email came out yesterday. They gave us a chance for exemptions based on religion or medical. I was curious if anyone else here has had to deal with this and what you might have done.

I am not anti vaccine, but I am not comfortable with this one. I am going to claim religious exemption and I think they cannot ask for any other details. I'm not sure what the legal line is here. I know a private business can mandate, but as far as my individual rights should I claim religious exemption.

I know this isn't a legal forum and I am not being fraudulent. There are several forms of religion. I was just curious if others were having the same issues.

if someone wants to get the vaccine then cool... but i just can't wrap my head around a company MAKING someone put something into their body without a choice other than possible termination of their job. where are all the "my body my choice" bitches at now?

Isn't there something ya'll can use in your defense, due-to-the-fact that having the vaccine wasn't a requirement for you getting the job to begin with? I realize that they can make it mandatory for 'new hires'.... but changing the rules mid-game????
The way the email read that I got, they are rewriting our CQ. Basically saying that it is required to be fit to work. If you don’t get it you are not fit to work.

We have contacted our union and they said there is nothing they can do at this time. We can renegotiate at next years contract. So basically all of us are opting out of the union.

I find it hard to believe that there is such a push for a vaccine that isn't even FDA approved! How many commercials do we see in a week about these lawyer companies taking class action lawsuits against companies that do have FDA approved drugs and medications? If you get vaccinated, why would you still have to wear a mask? There is a young guy I work with that got the vaccine voluntarily a few months back and had to take a few days off because of exposure to a family member. I asked him if he was vaccinated, why does he have to wear a mask and quarantine? He said, when got the shot, they told him it would not prevent him from getting it, it wouldn't prevent him from spreading it. And in the case he did get it, it might prevent his case from being severe enough he wouldn't have to be hospitalized... so what's the big push if that's all you can hope for in prevention?

My employer has common sense. Even though he’s vaccinated himself, he hasn’t even brought up the subject. I’ve missed one day of work in March 2020, because of this China virus bullshit. It took me and my boss that long to figure out working from home was not going to work. Nobody, even the lefty commies in the office, haworn a mask in the office once.
That said, I’ll be 60 in December, and IF he were to require it, I’m close enough to retirement, that I may just retire early. I’m not getting that poison put into my body.
My wife however is a state employee, and my daughter is a student at a state university. If anyone in my family is required to get the shot, it would be them two. But that’s not happening either.

    Here’s my covid vaccine card:

In the email we got, our governor is claiming that all the vaccines are FDA approved. So that is false information.

What’s the big push indeed?! Why are the unvaxxed demonized? Why are “they” giving out free weed, holding lotteries, etc…. To encourage those on the fence to get the jab? Has anyone ever heard of having to work so hard to save the world?

I know a guy who swears to become an ordained minister online then tell them it’s against your religion

What I can’t understand is our governor is requiring all of us at the DOT to get the fucking shot. But employees at the state colleges and universities; teachers and staff at the state’s public K-12 schools; legislative employees; the judicial branch; and employees of the state’s eight other separately elected statewide officials, including staff for the lieutenant governor and attorney general are exempt from getting fucking vaccinated.

That definitely puts you in a position the rest of us hope we don't get put into!

Just heard the Gov of Oregon has mandated vaxes for state employees by October. This should be good.....

Go to america's frontline doctors website, lots of resources there including legal.

There is pushback happening that is working, the postal workers union, delta air, lots of healhtcare workers are walking out, and some teacher's unions are pushing back.

I don't know what kind of business this is but I don't think they can do that. If they require you to give your medical records/history that (as far as I know) would violate medical privacy laws.

On a side note, one of my cousins is currently in critical condition. If it were not for a breathing machine he would be gone already. He finally broke down and got a vaccine (not sure which one) and it sent him basically into a coma.

I am not touching a vaccine and one won't touch me, at least not yet.

As for employment it just depends on how much you like it and want to stay. Sometimes the ride for employment issues is simply not worth it.

However if I were faced with this, I have a family doctor that I have known for years. Aside from being a doctor he's a friend. I would probably ask him to give me something that says you are not medical suitable for a vaccine of this type at present (or something to that effect).

Yep. Happening everywhere. Spoke with a lawyer, religious is probably risky if it's not legit. I know Catholics in CO can get their Priests to sign off on it.

I've got some legitimate health concerns about it. Talked to my doc and he's writing up a letter, sent him the form from HR so I'm going to claim a medical exemption.

Fuck all these fuckin' fucks for putting everyone in this position. I've got friends putting their houses up for sale and getting ready to move, sell their horses in rural CO and move, etc.

All for fuckin' political points. It won't stop a single person from getting Covid, carrying it, or giving it to someone else.

But hey, fuck everyone else, right? It's only their jobs, their livelihood, their ability to pay their mortgage and bills, feed their families.

Keep going mothefuckers, we're almost there!

Resist. If they force this and you comply, then what's the next division they force on you. People its far past time to stand up against this crap, what will the next push be? Stars for those who don't comply, maybe a gas shower.

Its going to take courage. Its going to take sacrifice. "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

In your conversation with the lawyer, was there any talk about this experimental, non FDA approved drug being forced? I would think that is the angle to pursue right now. Surely an experiment can't be forced.

What ever happened to protests versus bitching on a fucking forum...

Everyone walks out, business loses money.

They cant replace you all in a single day. Just saying.

    Doc

    This.

If you're good enough, you can walk out by yourself and cripple the business. Most aren't quite that good, so you can unite with a group of fellow employees (hypothetically call this a "union") and together you can enter into contractual agreements with your employer (call this process "collective bargaining"). Or you can exercise your freedom to walk away and find a different job (often referred to as "right to work"). Both approaches have their places, although it seems that folks who were locked into one paradigm have suddenly taken an interest in the opposite over the past few weeks

They're the employer so they can pretty much require whatever they want.

Apparently the precedent is a smallpox vaccine and a court case over that from like 1905.

I suggested a possible challenge might be the disparity of the severity between the two illnesses seeing as how smallpox has about a 30% mortality rate and Covid is like 0.02%-0.4% depending on the person.
Yep, just lost my job over this shit.
    Sorry man 😔

Don't be passive - just tell your employer that you'll sue your employer for a lot of money if your health is damaged by vacination, which will happen for sure if you already have enough antibodies in your system or a number of other things.(1) Then remind your employer about personal responsibiity, whatever it may be, but of course, without direct and/or certain threats (2).
#2 always worked great for me in different situations, although I've never tried it when I was an employee...

Y’all never worked in the private sector? In a “right to work” state? Pretty much doesn’t matter what you were hired to do or under what conditions. It’s just you vs them and they can do whatever they want. You can do it, or quit.

This will back fire on employers if they mandate the jab and people walk out. I’m self employed and you can’t find help. People got drunk on free money now there lazy and they don’t want to work. This whole thing is a shit show.

I just resigned from a fairly high profile role at a large company. Partially because of vaccine shaming (didn't force us to get it, but were making it very uncomfortable for those who didn't show their papers) , partially because of hyper-wokeism, partially because 70+ hour weeks for the last year aren't fun.

Felt like I was selling my soul to leftism.

Now who wants a link to my Only fans?

Telling your employer to go fuck themselves is very gratifying.
If you are of retirement age it works best.

You can bet the pussies you work with will not have the balls.

The labor unions are a bunch of company owned pussies these days as well.

You will have no help from anyone.

You however can walk upright as a full grown ass man. Hard to find these days.

Everyone is worried about their jobs and paying their Bill's and their way of life...

Honestly, the amount of money this cou try has printed in just the past 2 years and the inflation we have seen in the past 6 months, what makes you think there is going to be anything left in a year......
