Jimbo falls off a ladder a breaks his head bone, back bone, and a couple leg bones.
Family rushes him to the hospital. He is rushed to surgery. After surgery the docs tell the family he is stable and doing well ( how they don’t hysterically laugh takes great practice and is why med school is so long) Jimbo is sedated and his vitals are ok.
Family asks when will Jimbo be waking up. Staff says he is resting from surgery. Weeks go by. The word is jimbo is stable.
Jimbo is still on the ventilator. He has a feeding tube. He is sedated. Occasionally he moves his index finger. He is stable.
To make a long painful story short Jimbo never leaves the healthcare setting. He is tortured the rest of his time on earth. And dies with shit spewing from his tracheotomy while in a vegetative state. Jimbo leaves his family with a great deal of hospital debt.
Someone should have told Jimbo to not fall off the ladder in the first place. Someone else should have told Jombo’s family the hospital is for babies being born and possibly splinter removal.
