I can remember back in the mid 60's there was never an issue with childhood vaccinations. But now, I wonder if some of the diseases of today aren't caused by those jobs. Look at the rate of diabetes in today's world. I never ate candy until I was a teenager (truth) and I was probably an undiagnosed diabetic since my teen years. It makes you wonder if those vaccines weren't as safe as we believe.
If it weren't for a safety fair my employer had in 1989, I would have never known I was a diabetic.

If there is an effective and safe vaccine available against a serious disease, then the risk of exposure should also factor into the decision whether to vax or not.
For example, my dogs are vaccinated against Rabies and Leptospirosis because they hunt/kill furry things and drink out of creeks and puddles. However, they are NOT vaccinated against Kennel Cough or Parvo because their risk of exposure to that is nil to miniscule.
Similarly, I got vaccinations before a substantial amount of travel time in Africa that I would have never gotten otherwise.
You could make a case for the Covid jab in terms of exposure probability but that's completely pointless if the vaccine fails on the efficacy and safety side for a disease with a mortality rate that we accepted year after year during the 'regular' flu season. In fact, my hometown in Germany lost more people per capita due to the flu in 2018 than due to Covid before vaccination started. (They count Covid deaths correctly)
You need to run the benefit/cost analysis for every medical intervention, medication, vaccine, etc. individually. There is no collective "Right" or "Wrong".
