Black Friday Sales 2021

Dear MDT,

I didn't even order one, but that was either false advertising, or you plain screwed up and need to own it, period.

You have a choice: integrity or shame, choose wisely.

To clarify, yes, it was a mistake on our side, and we have fixed it.

We are providing clarification, and again if anyone has questions or issues during the sale, please reach out to us directly through our support portal as an open forum is very tough to conduct customer service on as it moves so fast.

-Anthony

Understood, please get in contact with us through our support portal with your order numbers and we will be happy to assist you.

-Anthony

It depends on the part number it was 104450 that is the base only. If you need to make a change please reach out to us through our support portal.

Clear as mud, sounds like you're planning to bitch out..?

I don't know every guys' financial situation, but chances are, if they thought they'd ordered a chassis, your mistake has probably tied up $400 of their money for the next few days (which happens to be big shopping days and have some good sales I think).

Mistakes have consequences.

Shortly after I bought the chassis system I sold my existing stock!

Even if their answer is to cancel any applicable order, I need to get moving on another stock.

I never saw the hnt26 listed anywhere in the black Friday pages. What price is there to fix?

Says everything on their site was 10-40% off. The folding hnt26 was marked down but out of stock. The fixed version was never marked down but it was in stock.

MDT just owned and admitted it was their mistake. At some point, ppl are gonna have to be adults, accept a mistake was made, accept their refund and move on. It sucks but shit happens.
I will gladly take a refund. But it's not about being an "Adult" it's about something being advertised as one thing, and then changed to another 3 hours later after purchase without so much as an email to say "Hey, we fucked up, sorry about that. Please contact if you wish to cancel". The only way I found out was because a friend linked me this thread. Now think about other people who aren't on SH, or forums in general who have purchased said product thinking that it is a complete chassis. If they don't know to go to the support portal and email right now, they are gonna have some incomplete system show up and be not only confused as to where the rest of it is, but angry that they got boned.

EDIT: Mistakes happen. It's an unfortunate part of business as well as life. But the most unfortunate thing you can do is to not make your mistakes right in an expedient nature.

Jesus... Everybody needs to take it easy and give them some room to work. Bet they're being bombarded on all fronts right now. If it was a mistake, I'm sure they'll do everything feasible to make it right whether it be offering something to the guys who ordered before it was fixed or making sure everyone who wants it is refunded.

Can we all please just wait and see what they do before we start trashing a company because you didn't get the deal of a lifetime??

If you are trying to leave it directly on the page it won't let you without an account. But you can also click on the help icon which is on the bottom right-hand corner that will get you through as well :).

Glad I held off on the ACC, it was pretty obviously a mistake when it was priced the exact same as other "base" chassis in the sale that clearly didn't include a rear stock. It's like the MDT black friday event is cursed, poor guys always get caught up with something :) That said it still pales in comparison to the Surefire black friday snafu from a few years ago, where they put everything on their website at 50% off.

Question for @MDT_OFFICIAL- Are the factory seconds triple pull ckyepods the versions with looser than optimal tolerances? I have seen some of the early MDT versions that were looser than my pre-mdt ckye. I know this has been corrected in later versions.

Thank for posting this guys. I ordered a few "complete chassis" from them and noticed the website changed a couple of hrs later, but thought they sold out of the completes. I would have been totally surprised when just the forends showed up. Submitted my request and hope to hear back from them soon.

They are gen 1 before we did change tolerances, but they will function great!

I ordered at 3:03PST...I just send e-mailed yall through the support portal... let's see where this goes...
how did u go about it? everything i reads just says was this helpful. The description on that chassis said everything was included. I think MDT is fucking everyone on this

So I ordered - MDT Ckye-pod Gen2 - ARCA Interface RH (Left Knob) - Triple-Pull Legs - BLK - Factory Second. Does that mean this has loose tolerances?
If it's a Gen 2 that is when we changed the tolerance band.

Unless they make an announcement saying they won't honor their deal or make it right to the customer, Yada Yada, we don't know if "MDT is fucking everyone on this" or not. I think we'll just have to wait it out and see how they play this.

I bought and paid for a a chassi systems as advertised they should own up to there screw up that’s not our fault

@MDT_OFFICIAL Do we get an email confirmation of the message we just sent through the support portal? I'm afraid I have no trace of the message I just sent, and it doesn't appear in my account.

Or should I just resend through my personal email so I can have a copy of the email traffic?

The message will impact whether I decide to keep my order to seek a refund to the multiple orders I placed.

Looking to pick up some AW mags if anyone's running a sale; missed Area 419's 10% off presale...

that's alright, i've canceled, never really been hip on their chassis, but thought i'd try one for that price. For $1200 regular price, i'll get another manners , MPA, foundation, or find another used J Allen

I too am curious of this as i never received a confirmation of the email being sent. Would be nice to have record of it.

Probably not right now since we turned off our answer bot as we didn't want self-solve e-mails.

Understood, thank you for clarifying.
And we are a bit buried right now, so it might take a bit to get back to you, but if you haven't heard back from us by tomorrow afternoon reach out.

Somehow I didn't complete my order earlier on the Complete system. They emailed me wanting to know if I wanted to complete the order. By that time it had changed to just the bare chassis. Declined that purchase went ahead and grabbed a couple of mag's though. Lots of good deals on there sale if it is something you are wanting. I didn't need a ACC chassis but at the original deal it was a no brainer.

I’m conflicted on this altogether. This is an outsider perspective coming from someone who only bought three mags earlier today.

I saw the same deal on the “$400” ACC Remington 700 SA chassis system. It’s very clear that MDT listed it as the entire system. I was tempted to buy one just to resell it at that price. But I had a gut feeling that it was accidentally labeled because there were other ACC bases that were going for the exact price. Similarly, the ESS, LSS, and LSS XL chassis models were being sold as bases only.

I think the mistake that MDT made is the fact that they normally sell the ACC chassis as a system altogether. So for folks logging online today, they’d see the $400 price and assume it’s being sold in the same fashion, especially because the description even says as much. I triple checked it myself.

Now on the flip side, I will say that there are a lot of folks here that don’t have much empathy for the situation at all. I’m seeing people going from 0 to 100 crucifying the company over the course of 1 hour. MDT might crap the bed and handle it poorly like Geissele, but I think it’s way too premature to handle it with such venom already. Let’s give them the benefit that they will meet customers in the middle.

Who knows, it may not be the entire system as priced, but they might offer a discount on a stock of the users choice, or include the elite grip for free, etc.

It’s an honest mistake from a company that hosts one of the last true Black Friday sales left. This chassis is still being sold for a ridiculous discount, so maybe try to keep some of this in mind as your go into your weekend that is dedicated to thanks and gratitude. All I know is I’m glad to not be in MDT’s shoes this weekend!
