As the "what are you drinking now" thread is mainly geared toward spirits, I felt we needed a thread dedicated to discussion of really high quality brews. Cheers!

This just came in today at my local store.

It's this year's version of Stone's winter seasonal spiced imperial stout. Smells of baking cocoa and cinnamon -very Christmassy, and all the flavors are well-balanced. 8.5% abv. Really enjoying this one!

More of a blended beer guy - 2 pts Yuengling & 1 pt Busch Light (or Bud Light on holidays/special occasions)!!

I live where 70+% of the hops in North America are grown. I've worked for, arguably, the most influential and successful hop grower/processer/distributor in the world. My advice is drink what you like - no snobbery needed...

It's called "beer", and it's tasty as hell.

The way people talk about beer I wish I liked it. I've tasted a bunch and it all taste the same to me just varying degrees of strong or watered down.

Quit drinking 'Beer' years ago because it all tasted like shit. Forward 30 years and a buddy turneid me onto to craft IPA's. My favorite is below.

For something more off beat try this Norwegian Bok, hard to find in the states but worth the effort if you can.

I'm a Hop Head! The Hoppier the better! I do like a good smooth barrel aged Stout this time of year. I eat lunch at one of the breweries in Little Rock at least once a week. Before Covid the Wife and I would take several beercations a year. Sometimes just a long weekend at some semi-local place and sometimes a week at places further away. We've been to GABF in Denver several times. We're planning a New England trip for next year. And yes, I have a dedicated beer fridge in the garage!

I have been drinking different types of beer since 1976, choosing taste, aftertaste, body, aroma and all other distinctions. I have done these evaluations all over the Western United States. I have settled on only 3 beers worth my attention. Warm, Cold and Free.

Thank you,
MrSmith

I prefer bottles myself, but the bars don't let us have glass around here.
I had this discussion with the lady that manages the bar at my "hang out." She knows I prefer bottled over cans, but then showed me some study that shows how any light getting into beer almost immediately starts it going bad. Which is why clear and green bottles go skunky quickly and brown does not - less UV. That said, I still think brown bottle tastes better than canned. Granted, most of my high end beer is Belgian so it's usually a brown bottle and in the case of Delirium, it's got a plastic wrap around it too.

Someone has sand in their vag.

Prolly puts ice in whisky and cream in his coffee.

And maybe even doesnt eat BACON!!!
That should be a perma-ban offense!

Back on topic, Hefeweizen is my favorite. Not many of them to chose from around here. Used to get some Tommy Knockers Jack Whacker (wheat beer) before I went back to Korea (2009), can't find it anymore, they must have quit brewing it...prolly too many hurt feels over the name.

I will second this. As i sorta did just that. I bought a case of IPA because its all the rage. Took 1 sip out of the first bottle and gagged. Took a second sip to verify. Emptied down drain and took the remaining 23 bottles to a buddy that was having a party. Next day he asked did you bring that ipa? Yeah why?
It sucked.......
So yeah you can't give that shit away.

Everybody knows the best beers are made with rice by European corporations. Fuck that locally produced, small batch garbage.

Try the pride edition. It's fantastic and the aluminum bottles are collectible!
