You should have said "cross-fit or believer". You don't have atheist trying to convert you to their belief, yet the god-squad are always trying to convert the non-believers to their view. You don't have atheist knocking on your door asking your belief and then trying to convert you to their club.

Please! I can comment on an article concerning religion and watch the atheists crawl out of the web to argue.

Some years back a church in MI (IIRC) drove out to a section of highway considered the most dangerous in the state and prayed for driver's safety and asked God to bless the highway. Next week the local atheist group drives out and "washes" away the blessing. I've always wondered why someone would go to the trouble of washing away something they believe doesn't exist.

Christianity - Religion centered on Jesus Christ
Islam - Religion centered on Allah
Judaism - Religion centered on Yaweh
Atheism - Religion centered on believing all other religions are wrong

That’s because their “book” tells them to. They think it is their duty.

I do agree with your definitions above, and you are correct in assuming that I am an atheist (always have been, although my mother is a believer [so is my wife]). I have many friends who are believers and I have had many good discussions on faith and religion each respecting each others views and not trying to change them. However, my post was correcting what I see as an error in your post (in my opinion).

How many people have been killed and wars started all in the name of religion and 'my god is better than your god'. And most religions have at some time killed/started wars in the name of their faith. Any belief in its extreme is probably a bad thing. However, the point I was making is that atheist don't go round trying to convert believers from their faith which is what you comment was implying.

In the library, is their book in the fact or fiction section. I know which section I would put it ;)

Maybe people don't want to be converted. A while ago on a regular occurrence we would get Jehovah witness' knocking on the door - annoyed me after a while, even though I was always polite.

I don’t think libraries usually stock that book. It’s not woke.

The Crusades were a response to islamic terrorism.

Thomas Jefferson sent the Marines to take out the Barbary pirates because islamic terrorism.

We sent U.S. forces to fight in Afghanistan and Iraq because islamic terrorism.

Israel has been in perpetual war since 1948 because islamic terrorism.

Others here can name (and likely have first hand experience with) other examples.

Anyone that thinks islam is a religion probably thinks democrats are about democracy too.

The worst mass murders in the last century, that killed over 100 million people were all done by atheists...

Oh and guess what atheists have and still currently go around trying to enforce their atheist religion at gunpoint...
or maybe you'd like to go talk to your atheist friends the Chinese communists and ask them to stop genociding muslims...

How many millions have been killed over the years all in the name of religion - many millions. It is technology which has provided the 'bad' people to kill ever greater numbers all in the name of whatever ideology they are pursuing, be it politics, religion, etc.

How can being an atheist be a religion? However, I was brought up to be of the opinion that there is good and bad people within all 'different groups', however you define a group.

In practical application "atheism" is a fanatical religious belief in being against all other religions.
Hence why Atheists tend to hate religions and often go out of their way to attack all (or sometimes just Christian) religions.
It's also why when Atheists get in power, they usually go on a killing spree of anyone who is not of the Atheist religion.

MORE millions have been killed by Atheists in power than all that were killed in by religious folks in power.

If other religions didn't matter, were just fables, and they actually didn't care, why would they hate other religions so much?

In America, by and large "Atheists" tend to be fanatically anti-Christian and do everything they can to try to erase and destroy Christianity while somehow being fine with Islam for "cultural reasons"...

Chinese Atheists have more power and so they are fine genociding Muslims, killing and imprisoning Christians, doing mass slaughters of FG and other religions because they don't have to pretend to be nice, you either worship the state Atheist dogma or they will kill you. Just like the original Uncle Joe...

How many atheists don't look to government as a savior?

You need to proportionally increase the numbers for time, kind of like you would the dollar

Atheism is not a religion.
Simply the lack of belief in theism.
I personally don't care what a person believes. Just what they do in the name of their belief system.
