It doesn't take government statistics to figure out that the majority of the public is an unhealthy weight, and many people that don't look overweight are still "skinny-fat". Go pull up the articles and news clips along the lines of "Healthy unvaccinated teen dies from Covid", and it'll show some unfortunate kid who's 300 lbs.
I'm not exactly in male model condition, either, but that shouldn't stop anyone from pointing out that going into Covid (or any other disease for that matter) with an extra 50-100 lbs (and likely piss-poor metabolic conditioning to go with it) doesn't help one's odds.
BTW, that's a fascinating list. Any medical professionals that listed "suicide by firearm" as a co-morbidity should lose their licenses immediately.

Now she has become allergic to her thyroid medication, something that happened right after the booster. Her doctors have now said they believe it’s a reaction to the booster shot. I also think its funny that every time you hear comorbity it is attached to the statement that all Americans are overweight. As though BMI index is a measure of health. What was that 10k out 250k listed as obesity as a comorbidity? So why the constant conflation between overweight comorbidity and COVID19? Probably so people don't go look through the comorbidity data I just posted.

This is a fascinating take from someone who just a year ago was arguing against the CDC's published numbers for all-cause deaths and the breakdown by cause.That's become it's true - most Americans are overweight (and a lot of the ones who aren't obese still have various metobolic problems related to poor diet and lack of exercise), and most health problems are either directly caused or exacerbated by this. You can't go from a generally healthy population three generations ago to the problems we have now and claim "bad genetics!".
Spending more time listing to Peter Attia podcasts and less time bitching about unvaccinated people or ivermectin or whatever bullshit Dr. Fauci is pushing today would serve the vast majority of the population's self-interest. But who's got time for 8-10 hours of Zone 2 exercise each week when there are Twitter arguments to be fought!
Yet, I don't think I have seen one "scientific" talking head or Dr. talk about the need for people to take better care of themselves...I.E, work to eliminate preventable underlying conditions to prevent hospitalization from Covid. It's disturbing how little emphasis has been put on just being generally healthy.
Interestingly, I can relate my own experience with Covid and body weight that is kind of the opposite of above, but does tie into a general health and just taking care of yourself viewpoint. I ended up with pneumonia from Covid and got damn sick. Didn't get hospitalized, but was in the hurt locker for a while for sure. Prior to getting it, I had lost damn near 20lbs in about 3 weeks hiking around the mtns carrying a pretty heavy backpack. Sleeping in tents (so pretty much not sleeping). I didn't have 20lbs to lose really and got myself pretty run down. I would be willing to bet that may have been one reason I ended up so sick with it.
I think bottom line is the better you take care of yourself (exercise, good sleep, nutrition) the better off you are if you get it. Imagine where we would be if obesity and type 2 diabetes were eliminated from the Covid equation?

Personally, I'd like to see Desantis step in as a preemptive measure - he has the right combination of logic and combativeness to unite multiple factions of the party, and he is probably the only candidate who could tell Trump to sit down and shut up if he decides to pull his will-I-run-or-not bullshit at preciously the wrong moment.

You are correct - no one is complaining about the gyms being closed (just the resturants and bars), no one is going on TV talking about this being a great time to cut sugar, move 30 minutes a day, and take some Vitamin D, and certainly no one is talking about maybe drinking a whole lot less alcohol and finding some meaning in life. And we definitely aren't being told to get blood drawn and look for signs of metabolic or endocrine disorder, or to use readily-available biometric measurement tools to monitor for signs of stress and illness. In short, we got fatter, lazier, more intoxicated, and generally dumber about our health.
But there are presumably reasons why I can buy a variety of drugs and intoxicants at the local convenience store while the FDA plays wack-a-mole with various health supplements that have far better safety profiles. It's almost like someone doesn't want us to be healthy
Sorry to hear of your illness - I've dug myself a similarly deep hole on a few occasions and paid the price. Doesn't need to be Covid; just the flu will do the trick. On the other hand, someone brought Covid into our household a few weeks ago, and I breezed through it presumably because it hit at a time of relatively low training stress (I'd just finished my last race of the year a month prior, so I was still fit but wasn't hammering too hard).
I think you’re pretty much right. He seemed to me to be (at best) misinformed on a lot of fairly basic ideas about Liberty, especially 2A Liberty. IMO he was not playing 4D chess but the base projected that on him. He’s no dummy but he isn’t a super genius either. He is incredibly full of himself in that New York money kind of way but has done some incredibly kind things for people many times.
He’s a flawed man who delayed what we’re seeing now but he isn’t the savior of the west. While true other men are holding off declaring a run until he decides, in my opinion the worst thing he could do would be to run again.

And, now that I built my tinfoil Stetson and put it on...When you realize how much money Pharma, Hospitals, the Food and Drink industry, etc, would stand to lose if there was as big of a push to encourage people to eat actual food and take a walk once a day as there was to get vaccinated the number would be fucking staggering. Not much money to be made if people were even just "generally" healthy. I am not talking about seeing how many abs you can get to stick out of your body or running triathlons. I am talking just trying not to drink 6 Mountain Dews a day, eat out for every meal, and maybe get slightly out of breath 3 times a week. It's not a cure all, sometimes you just get the short end of the straw, but by sheer numbers alone we would be in a hell of a lot better position as we are now.

Instead of getting some experimental shot, I using the time to get back into the gym, started exercising, eating better, and also started taking vitamins D3, zinc, C, and some quercetin. The old fassion way of doing things I guess. Honestly it's been great. I feel much better overall and have more energy and motivation.
What amazed me, like some others are saying, is how unhealthy and out of shape I really was despite thinking I was better off than the average American. I hadn't been to the gym in 12+ years and ate mostly what I wanted, but had a pretty physical lifestyle and didnt consider myself to be fat.... Boy, how wrong I was.... Go lift some weights, do some cardio and try to push yourself. I quickly found out I was weak, easily winded, had almost no endurance. I would require days to recover from a relatively easy work out in the beginning.
I'm not saying this is going to make me invincible. I am fully expecting to get covid (if I havent had it already) at some point. I don't see it being avoidable with how I am living. Most importantly though, I am back to living. This covid stuff no longer stresses me out or worries me like it did, especially with this new omicron varient. If it's my time, it's my time, but I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon.

This is my second bout with Covid, neither has amounted to more than cold like symptoms. Remember too, I have diabetes, I'm on dialysis, have had 5 way bypass and am technically obese. So, I should have died at least 2 times thanks to Covid, but I feel fine. Oxygen level is ranging from 97 to 98%. Just a cough like an upper chest cold.
