On the one hand, that top one is pretty dang cool (I sorta long for a 1903A1 that can mount a target scope/G&H side mount and a Lyman 48). On the other hand, the height over bore looks a bit nuts and you lose the ladder.
Yes when I shoot that rifle I use one of the lace on leather cheek pads. It is an absolute hammer with Lake City Match or handloads with 168gr A-Max.
