300 PRC build
Defiance Ruckus
24" Proof prefit
Triggertech diamond
Krg whiskey 3 folding chassis
Gen II razor and vortex PMR rings
Accutac fc4-g2 bipod

This rifle has had some horrible horizontal stringing since I finished it. After 75 rounds wasted I think I figured out the problem, now to get some more time behind it.

What was the problem?

What was the problem?
I believe a small o-ring on the forward action screw allowed there to be excessive space between the action and chassis. I also think the torque was off between the 2 action screws and the recoil lug was too far forward. Hard to say it was those things exactly but I saw a big difference immediately after removing the o-ring and re-torquing the action. It was shooting 1.5" groups at 100yds before the changes, stringing from right to left (I removed myself as the culprit after shooting other magnums successfully and also having others shoot this rifle with the same result). Right after the changes it was shooting ~ .60 moa at 100yds with me still not used to the rifle.

I'm glad to finally be able to post a gun to this thread, as this thread is partially responsible for this build! Barreled action was done by Southern Precision Rifles.

6mm Creedmoor
Bartlein barrel. Marksman contour at 24"
Terminus Apollo
MPA Hybrid chassis
Trigger tech special
Harris bipod
Nightforce NX8 4-32x50 MOAR F1
ARC M-Brace Rings (pretty much identical to the M-10 rings from what I can tell). Low 0.94"

New fun plinking gun and varmint hammer!

Nice!
Now I must have one.....
I wouldn't personally. It is partly made of aluminum. Aluminum gets eaten too easily by chemicals for cleaning. Also for work I machine parts for the hot side of turbine jet engines (semi similar to the inside of silencers). We don't use aluminum for parts exposed to heat.

Check out others by Thunderbeast, Rugged, or Dead Air. They are more highly recommended here on the Hide.

Ive got a Thunderbeast Ultra 7 in nfa jail right now. Sorry. No pics yet of it on my bolt gun.

Understood. Just seemed like a cool concept - brake on a suppressor.

Very cool rifle! Wish they would sell just the upper/bolt. Would jump on one right away.

KRG Bravo, enclosed forend
Curtis Vector action
Jewell trigger
Bartlein 26" 6.5 PRC,1:7.5
Shark thresher QD mount

Its a looker!

I`m in the process of building something along the same lines (KRG Bravo with enclosed forend / fluted barrel - probably 24" or maybe 22") and if it ends up looking like that I will be pleased.

Out of curiosity what profile is the barrel?

thanks, you'd definitely be pleased. Very ergo-friendly stock, virtually little perceived recoil with 6.5 PRC.
I just edited it, it's a 5R (marksman) contour. Got it from Area 419, $473 after shipping, includes helical fluting.

It's shown with a Bering Optics ACE 4-14 x 44 scope, I've since swapped it for an Arken Optics EP4 6-24 x 50.
