Iron/ aperture sight set ups for Bergara BMR

I wasn't able to make this setup work. I couldn't get the rear sight far enough rearward without the rail being in the way of the bolt. I've decided to put the scope back on and use a CZ457 for the iron sight setup.

Iron/ aperture sight set ups for Bergara BMR

I am also setting up a Bergara BMR Carbon for club shooting and wanted Anschutz sights on it. This is what I found. https://lostnationrd.com/product/lnrd-custom-front-globe-sight/ https://freelandssports.com/product/anschutz-8012-match-rear-sight-picatinny-mount/

    6.5 PRC RL-26

I found signs of pressure at 57.0 grains RL26 at 3010 fps average. One ragged hole with the exception of one shot that landed 1/2" to the right of the group and had heavy bolt lift. The 55.4 grains RL26 load has sped up to 2900 fps after 100 rounds and is still printing little round groups in...

Beginner - need equipment recommendations and advice

All of the reloading manuals have good reloading instructions. I started with the Hornady and Sierra Manuals. Take your time setting everything up and learn how to adjust your dies properly. If you reload enough, you will know exactly where you want to save time, it will be the task that you...

    6.5 PRC RL-26

With my current data points, QuickLOAD estimates 57 gr. RL26 to yield 2940 fps, a far cry from Hornady's predicted 3150 fps, but honestly I'm content with 2860 fps if the SD is low and the precision is high. The 143 ELD-X is designed to perform at a minimum impact velocity of 2000 fps. 2860 MV...

    6.5 PRC RL-26

Sako S20 6.5 PRC, Fed210M, Virgin Lapua brass, 143 ELD-X, 2.950" COAL, 5 shot groups, no signs of pressure on any of the loads I've tested 55.4 gr. RL26 2,860 fps (Sako S20 barrel seems to run a bit slow, will monitor velocity as barrel hopefully speeds up.) SD 4.7 Round group, 0.3" 56.5 gr...

    .260 Remington

I ran these combinations in QuickLoad for you, but have no real world experience with them. 36-38 grains (90-95% fill) Varget under the 140 should top out around 2700 fps in a 24" barrel. 43-45 grains (100-105% fill) IMR 7828SSC under a 153.5 should top out around 2720. Disclaimer: If you're not...

average cost of getting set up to reload

Expect to spend between $1000 and $1500 for all the equipment and tools. Once you've settled into a routine, you will begin upgrading equipment based on your likes and dislikes about the process. My advice would be to start with books. All loading manuals have a section dedicated to explaining...

    Rifle Scopes Magnification Question

I run my SB PMII 5-25 at 18x for 1000 yards. Plenty of magnification for that distance and the mirage doesn't play with your eyes.

Rifle Scopes Tract Scopes and Binos ?

I picked up the 8x42 Toric Binos. I am very pleased with them. Optical performance far exceeds the price.

Rifle Scopes Objective Lens Thread Pitches

I"m looking for flip up caps for a 50mm objective. The internal threads are M52 x 0.75, but there are very few resources that use thread pitch when ordering flip cap adapters or ARD's. My scope isn't listed on the Tenebraex site, but I wanted to see if there were other 50mm scopes that shared...

    Nosler 130 RDF

I still have a couple hundred of the 130 RDFs left, I bought 500 and shot 300 trying different powders, charges, OALs, brass, & primers. They like a 0.010" jump, but consistently throw flyers. Not just, "Oh man, that opened up my group" flyer. I'm talking four in one little hole and 1 landing 1"...

Found a Good Load But Have Ejector Marks on Brass

You should reduce your charge. Whenever you see ejector marks, the brass is over pressured and is flowing back into the bolt face. You'll notice your primer pockets getting looser each consecutive firing until they start popping out while shooting. Here is the load data for that...
