Re: Rock River Varmint in .223? I have the RRA Predator Pursuit in 20" and shot a 3.88 group at 500 yards with a 55grain vmax with Varget powder. It was my first time shooting at that distance so i was very impressed with the gun. For punching paper and p dogs, i think you will be just fine.
I read through a couple threads on choosing scope rings, but still couldn't find an answer to my question. I am buying a Viper 6.5-20x44 with 30mm tube and want to be able to set it up to be able to dial it to hold dead on at to at least 600 yards with my .223. I don't have the cash to buy a...
Re: Range Report...first time 500yard .223 Thanks guys! Considering the scope, and the fact im a newbie, i was impressed! I know many people can do this and better with their eyes closed. Hopefully i will get better with practice!
Well after spending a considerable amount of time doing ladder tests and plain old 3 shot groups with a variety of bullet weights and powders, yesterday I finally settled on a 55 gr v-max with 26.4 grains of varget which gives me .5 inch groups. A friend wanted to shoot today and i didn't have...
Re: Hand Loading for Long Range 4: Powderin' it This find is perfect timing for me as i have just started reloading! Thanks TresMon! I'll do some ladder testing this weekend and report back my findings. I have a Rock RIver Arms Predator Pursuit AR15 with a 20" barrel. One quick...
Re: Red Jacket Yeah the water cooled machine gun was sweet, and that box gun was so lame. I am sure up close the craftsmanship is not so good. You could tell before they painted it the welds and grinding were not quality. You may get a completely custom gun, but it won't going to look like...
Re: Red Jacket I use to watch it because it was entertaining. After watching American Guns, Red Jacket looks like kids play. At least on American Guns the owner isn't as obnoxious as Will from Red Jacket. Lets be honest, most of what is on TV is garbage. They air what sells, and stupid...
Re: Budget AR builds and accuracy I have a Rock River Arms 20" Predator Pursuit and although i have not taken the time yet to load a round for best possible accuracy (just started reloading), i have read many threads where guys get sub .5 MOA with hand loads. The reason i went with RRA was...
Re: what scope on your AR for long range? Lots of variety out there! I think i have figured out what i want and have been looking through the classifieds. I have to wait till i have 100 posts though until i can post in the classifieds and do a "WTB."

Re: what scope on your AR for long range? I think this thread might be in the wrong area, but what canted base do you guys recommend to still allow me to zero at 100 yards, and then be able to dial the elevation to get me to around 800 yards? I understand it depends on what bullet i'm using...
