Thanks guys. By quality I mean Lapua or similar. Specifically I'm looking for 7saum and .300 rum. Looks like Nosler and Norma make them. Getting them might be another story. I also have a Grendel, 6mmbr and 6.5x47. I always used Lapua there too but I'm curious about the other brands. I...
Congrats on a great looking and shooting rifle. I tell ya what, the 6.5 Lap is a laser!! and soo easy to load for. Charlie, do you have any load data for the 2000MR? Jerid
Hey guys, I've been out of shooting for a few years now and since I got some guns out to try to sell I kind of got the bug again. So, my question is What's good brass now days? I generally use Lapua but, I have some rifles that I would have to use Nosler or Norma? or should I look...
I have a Win M70 and have 3 barrels for it. 2 - .243 AI barrels, one being a fire forming barrel and the other is a 6mmbr. I like being able to switch barrels and shoot something different. As for the .22-250, you might want to go to a 24" barrel with a longer shank. that way, when the...
Re: What's the point of three groove rifling? My .243Ai is a switch barrel rifle so whenever I swap out the barrel I get a better look at the rifling and take measurements. Im not trying to start a debate but rather ask about the style of rifling along with the land and groove count.
Re: What's the point of three groove rifling? What im saying is from what Ive seen from two different barrels with diferent styles of rifling. On my 3 groove barrel you can clearly see the leading edges of the lands being eaten away at. And my thought is that square edge of the lands being...
Re: What's the point of three groove rifling? I shoot a .243AI with fairly hot loads. What I have noticed between button rifled 3 groove and button rifled 5c style rifling, is that the radius on the edges of the lands do not seem to erode as quickly. I have many more rounds through the 5c...

Re: odd wear on carbine receiver? I just took my micrometer and neasured the gas key width from front to back and came uo .400" the entire lenght. Now I guess I need to fogure a way to see if it is sitting straight.

Re: odd wear on carbine receiver? I can get them. I just hate asking someone else to post them for me. Those were some of the first two parts I looked at and ther is NO abnormal wear on either the gas key or cam pin. I wouls say about .050" + or - has been removed on the worst side. Im...
