I switched out my BDL follower, spring , etc and put in a closed cell foam piece,...worked like a charm. I'm right at 18 pounds. If different scales catch me one day, I could always unscrew my bolt knob, hah.

XTR,...yep a BDL but I do have an alum single shot "slide" in place of the stock follower. I'm going to remove it and the spring and try the closed cell foam idea.

Yeah, I feel like I'm so close that I could get snagged on simple variations between scales. I think I'll try the "foam follower" trick to see how much that's takes off. I can also take the knob off the sinclair fine adjustment and shave a once or two

Yep,..the 220 compact and my 245 are essentially to same gun with exception of the beavertail. What I am looking at is the 220 SAS with has the upper receiver of a 245 / 220 compact and a lower receiver of a 220.

All the above is good stuff,....love the wind flags in Baghdad. The mirage seems to work best for me. Not that I discount the wind, but when looking at a target through my scope and I see a mirage running 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock,...hold low right and send it.
