mtcur3, I have one to do this week, but it's a wood stock. Not as much to it as a synthetic. In the next week or so I should get in another FVSR and I'll get it done.
Take Your Pick I have several 22's, and between family and friends I have trigger time with about a dozen of them. Between Savage Mark II's, Marlin, and CZ as far as out of the box accuracy you can pretty much take your pick. On average I've seen about 1.5 MOA between them. The best of the...
Poor Mans Digital Here's a few of my recent paint jobs. The two 22's together are a Savage Mark II for my sons and a Marlin for my wifes dad. The textured stone paint job is my savage FVSR Mark II. I made the stock myself. It was one of my first projects before I went into business doing...
I really appreciate your taking the time to write this review. Though I'm still torn what to do... now it's for different reasons. I would (like everybody else) love to have both, but I can only afford one. I still need to do some more searching. Trying to find a comparison between the Leica...
I had a chance to look through the Beast a couple weeks ago at the range. It was only a 100 yard range so not the ideal test so I spent more time looking at tree limbs on the mountain ridge than at the target. The glass was amazing compared to what I'm used to with my 22x Nightforce. Still...
I have the same stock. I don't know how it falls in the rules for F Class but if it's legal I think you will do yourself a favor adding the monopod rail and buying an accushot monopod to use as a bag rider. I use mine as an actual monopod when the position allows but always have it for a bag...
My 308 has a 20" 1in10 twist. Grouping @ 100 yds 168 Sierra HPBT's shoot best. But they don't hold up as well out to 1000. Once I get past 300 yds I get the best results with 175 Sierra HPBT's. I also have good results with Hornady 178 HPBT's for long range. But again, nothing shot better inside...

Re: Played with the lathe last night/ Rifle makeover I don't have any varget, but I would like a price on the thread protector if you'd be willing to make me one.
Re: Age limit on trusts Got it all set up. Thanks so much everyone. For anyone around upstate SC I got mine set up for $180 and $10 to go in to the trust to be the first "item". That is much cheaper than anything I had heard by at least $100. Anyone interested PM me and I'll send you the...
Re: For those afraid to paint their weapons....... I thought it looked good, but I bet it was pretty thick. Before you mentioned why you did the second set of solid coats I was wondering why you put solid coats on top of solid coats. I'm gonna try this on my xlr evolution when it arrives...
Re: Most Fun I've Ever Had With a 22! Until this year I've never tried those ranges with a 22. We have a 150 yard range that we shoot them on, but a few months ago Deadeye turned and started shooting at targets on our long range from our 150 prone area. It ranged 305 yards from there and he...
I'm thinking of getting a trust set up and buying a suppressor (probably a .22 first then one for .308). I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the age is on children that can be added to the trust. I was wanting to let my son take the .22 with his grandfather hunting. But I'm not sure if...
