Re: mixing brass lots When I started reloading I mixed lots without first considering if it was a good idea or not. I do make sure to keep the number of firings seperate. I'm happy with the results. Of course I'm no pro by any stretch of the imagination either. Just a plinker that is happy...
Re: DEADSHOT FIELDPOD.... check this out I would've loved to have had one a few years back. My brother was without the use of his left arm. I rigged up something similar so he could turkey hunt with me.
Re: Leupold VX-R reticle for 70% hunting/30% target? I would go TMR and .1 mil and learn to use it. You can use various loads and it will be adaptable for other applications in the future. It's second focal plane so the TMR shouldn't be to thick. Go with the patrol if for no other reason...
Re: SS 3-9 or new leupold VX-R 3-9 Sounds like we're talking about the standard VXR. Look at the VXR Patrol. -mil reticle -illuminated -externally adjustable turrets -same price as the SS -swfa stocks it I'm not saying "go that route", but rather compare apples to apples.
Re: spotting scopes and iphone cases Could be wrong but if I remember correctly the iPhone case pictured on Knights page was an Otterbox. The Defender case is a popular model and provides excellent protection.
Re: New Leupold 3-9x40 VX-R Patrol I talked a buddy into picking one of these up. Love this scope. Good glass, low profile turrets with positive, audible clicks, good reticle and love the illumination system. Only complaint I would have is that when you turn the illumination off, the...
Re: 20 MOA base 100 yd/200 yd variance You'll have to zero the rifle again after changing from a flat base to a 20moa of course, but that's it. The base will have no further bearing on the matter between 100 and 200 yards.
Re: My maksman team It's private land in Columbia County. Worked long and hard to get out there. Took a year or so. May be able to go back in the spring. I'm constantly looking for a good spot I can go to when I want. Just haven't found it yet.
Re: ACIS 2.0 Stocks for Remington 700s I guess It depends on the individual stock. My bolt works as it should and I only had to make relief for the trigger when I installed a Jewell. Sorry your experience was aggravating. A roto zip bit in a dremel takes less than a minute for the trigger...
Re: Rookie, PLEASE HELP! Tactical vs Long Range scope? You don't need 25 + power to shoot 1k. 15 is a graceous plenty. However, if you have plans for a .338 or 50 in the future go for it. I don't have the experience or skill as most of the guys here but I like the USO SN3 3.2-17. GAP or MPR...
Re: My maksman team Thanks guys. Tough seeing the kids so upset for a short time they were on cloud nine. They were burning up face book with status updates. I was proud of them.
Our weener dog got hit by a car today so my girls wanted to relieve a little aggresion. Had em smokin the steel at 1150. First time any of us have gone past 900. Up until now 900 is the longest we've been able to find. North Florida doesn't have much opportunity for long range shooting.
