I don't want to seem stupid or anything because I might be missing a big reason. But what purpose does anyone not in the military or LE have with a silencer, if someone could list some reasons that would be great.

Re: Best caliber/rifle for 600-1000 yards. None taken man, as I asked first I just want an honest opinion which you gave, thank you. I plan to get as good with the rifle as humanly possible . But I really want to be able to be good with a good rifle not good with an okay rifle.
