Agreed here. Line rings up perfectly with a straight lapping bar, start lapping, and see how phucked up some "high end" rings are, and you'll change your mind. If you don't...you have issues.
FYI...Tikka stocks are reinforced with fiberglass. That's why they call them "reinforced polymer". I just got done inletting and bedding 4 of them, and there was fiberglass shards flying everywhere. And the "long action" is the best thing that could happen. Throw a LA bolt stop, and a Long...
I always leave a pad under the shank. All my rifles, and the rifles I've bedded that way, shoot. The guys that mill out the squeeze out build rifles that shoot...i.e. Chad and others. I really wonder if it makes a difference, one way or the other.
Who makes a nice set? And, who sells them? I have some new Zeiss scopes that need some new 1" picatinny rings. I can do aluminum, like NF Ultralites, or steel. Doesn't really matter. Thanks guys.
Thanks lash. I bought, and have the denim jacket. The sleeves are about 1/1/2" too short. The 5.11 series doesn't have the good interior (or any) holster. I'll keep snooping around. I will say, tho...the NRA denim jacket has a really nice interior set-up for carry. And plenty of room also...
I'm looking for a jacket, fleece or otherwise, that has a hidden interior pocket/holster to carry a handgun. Preferably under the left arm/armpit. I'm right-handed. Can any of you guys recommend one? Thanks!
