anyone use a 22-250 with 1/8 twist barrel?

I'm running a 26" 1:8 twist Hart barrel on one of my 22-250s. I built this rifle specifically for extended range prairie dog shooting. I've had excellent results using 80 grain Hornady AMAXes, RL15, and GM210M primers...Muzzle velocity of 3,056 fps. Shot her out to 1000 yards for shits and...

    Rifle Scopes SWFA VS HDMR?

Re: SWFA VS HDMR? I have both (3 DMRs and 1 SWFA). I completely agree with you about the reticle choices. The G2 and Horus reticles are what initially attracted me to the Bushnell scopes. Utilizing a 20 MOA rail, the DMRs give me an average of 21-22 mils of elevation left over, while the...

Member Link Up Any southern AZ shooters?

Re: Any southern AZ shooters? There are plenty of places to shoot within 20 minutes of Benson (30 miles east of Tucson). Let me know how far you want to shoot and I'll point you in the right direction. I still cannot believe that people actually pay money to shoot when we are surrounded by...

Savage model 12 lrp in 260 rem any thoughts

Re: Savage model 12 lrp in 260 rem any thoughts Best "Off The Shelf" rifle I have ever owned. Amazing value for the $800-$900 price tag. Load development was a breeze utilizing 140 grain AMAXes and H4350. I solved the cheek weld problem with a Karsten Cheek Rest. Make sure that you buy a...

Is .260 Rem easy to load for??

Re: Is .260 Rem easy to load for?? .25 to 1 MOA is a pretty significant shift. Wish I could help you out with that problem. Only about 500 rounds down the pipe so far, but I haven't noticed any drastic variations in group size yet. I usually shoot a quick group at the end of a range...

Is .260 Rem easy to load for??

Re: Is .260 Rem easy to load for?? It took me about a day to develop a 2800fps, 1/2 MOA load utilizing 140 grain AMAX bullets. Had some slight pressure signs at first, but I wouldn't say that the cartridge was finicky in my experience. Copied the load from this forum and tweaked it as...

Rifle Scopes Bushnell HDMR 3.5-21x50 Horus?

Re: Bushnell HDMR 3.5-21x50 Horus? Thank you for the photo Commander Shepard. 8 1/2 mils is about all I get out of my HDMR with G2 reticle on 21x. I was hoping for at least 10-12 mils of holdover with the H59. Can't imagine that the TRMR2 is that much different. Guess I'll have to back it...

Rifle Scopes Bushnell HDMR 3.5-21x50 Horus?

Re: Bushnell HDMR 3.5-21x50 Horus? Does anyone have a "through the scope" picture of the HDMR with H59 reticle? Just curious as to how much of the reticle is visible on 21 power. Thank you in advance...

Rifle Scopes Looked through an HDMR for the 1st time -vs my PST

Re: Looked through an HDMR for the 1st time -vs my PST I have both the PST and HDMR. I prefer the HDMR over the PST based on (perceived) glass quality and range of elevation adjustment. The Bushnell has roughly 10 mils more elevation than the Vortex. When using maximum power (24X vs 21X)...

Rifle Scopes Weaver Tactical 3x15x50mm EDMR

Re: Weaver Tactical 3x15x50mm EDMR IMHO, the Weaver 3-15x50 is the best $700 entry-level riflescope on the market. After zeroing at 100 yards, I still have 19.6 mils of elevation utilizing a 20MOA base. Glass is good, tracks well, and it has always returned to zero. So far, I haven't run...
