Glass bedding a pillar bedded stock?

Re: Glass bedding a pillar bedded stock? I just finished bedding a Savage Duramax stock with the pillars. Bedding is a little different than a wood stock. For a good bond I drilled holes in the front/rear action bolt areas and the stock's recoil lug face to lock in the glass bedding...

    Enfield No 4 Mk 1 ?

Re: Enfield No 4 Mk 1 ? I used to load for a No4 Mk IT sniper. I was using a 3X9 scope in a repro mount. I loaded Sierra 174 grain match bullets in brass fired in the T's chamber and then neck sized there after. That rifle would consistently shoot 3/4" at 100 yards and 1.650" at 200 yards.

New Here- Give Your Opinion On Savage Rifles

Re: New Here- Give Your Opinion On Savage Rifles I own three Savages now. All built by me on used actions. My 7mm/08 22" factory barrel on a 110 action in a fully bedded/floated barrel channel walnut stock from Brownell gave me 100 yards groups of .632" with Nosler 120 grain BT's and...

Is a Savage Worth the time to customize

Re: Is a Savage Worth the time to customize The Savages are soooooo easy to rework. I recently finished a 7mm/08 using a standard factory sporter barrel on a 110 action. I bought an unfinished walnut stock from Brownell's and glassed the action and recoil lug. The barrel channel opened up...
