Parallax. Gets me a lot. Since your shots are already all over the place. Might as well check "ALL" your screws and retorque them again (with/without loctite). I had this problem not to long ago.... with over 500 rounds through the rifle without any cleaning and such. I found 3 loose...

I started a similar thread on another board I frequent on... and I have a handful of responses saying "shooter and parallax", but I'm still learning.. Looking forward to hearing a real solid solution to all this :)

A year an a couple of months later So I'm bumping this thread just to show the transformation of my first and only precision rifle (for now) which has been a lil over a year and 5 months. I've probably put over 2400 rounds through it at this point most of which were very much enjoyable...

I don't know.. but in my humble opinion I think the barrel profile is much to consider as well when your mounting some weight on the end of that barrel. I also got my SDN6 for the reason of many who can't afford many cans and try to get more bang for their $buck$. I don't seem to have to much...

So did I for my sdn6. FUnny thing is I haven't cleaned the brakeout or the sdn6 so after shooting more than 5 rounds through it after removing and reattaching the sdn6 onto the rifle the sdn6 just don't wanna come out after a day of shooting (100 rounds or less). I probably have over 2K rounds...

.. another thing.. Paint your target florescent/hunter orange! I remember having a bitch of a time trying to find the fricken target, hahahahaha!

1400 yards is my limit with my .308 I tried a mile in two different sessions/days... Never did hit, but I can see that my hits were between 2 to 4 feet away just right of the target.. never did come any closer. Did (I think) 12 or 14 shots those days before calling it quits. This was attempted...

Maybe bring your charge down. I'm at 43.0 gr of Varget with my loads and I could group these rounds less than 1/2MOA when I do things right. GAP REM 700 22" Bartlein 11.25... I know.. I know.. but I've seen similar if not better groups with my same loads on "other" stock REM 700's. When I was up...

Here you go... Hope you build what you want... and be patient with what you're trying to build or else you'll spend more than you'd expect too.. and Ramen noodles will be your best friend through the whole process :)
