2014 2nd Annual Matt Karstetter Memorial Field Match, Wilbur WA

Dear Pat, The flagging that was @ the target area was wrapped around the post, and didn't have anything to do with my hit/ miss count. The only time I even looked at it was when Mike pointed it out. Dismissed it as irrelevant and moved on.

Pat, a pox on you for the wind flag recommendation, this isn't F class/ high power. If wind flags start showing up at tac matches, I'll go out of my way to cut them down and burn them.

    50 BMG for the win

I'm happy with a 1.3 miles of range. After all the 50 BMG offers more than dumb bullets. I like the option of a payload upon arrival, which the 50BMG has. The two you mentioned, just dumb bullets.

    50 BMG for the win

Doing a little load developing for a mile target we will be shooting in next months match, I came up with this load right out of the gate. Considering I've fired ~2500 rounds through this barrel, it's holding it's own for sure. Maximum fire power with lots of barrel life. No need for a...

I want to thank all my help, RO's score keepers, trail builders, steel makers ETC, for making this match a success. We had 18 shooters that ran through around 5500 rounds of ammo in 6 hours. I had a blast running the gully course with 16 of the shooters. That course had more than a few ways to...

Clint, I would recommend you build the venue the way you see fit. After running matches for the last 15 years, I've found it too easy to fall into the trap of trying to make everyone happy. Once shooters start shooting a mix of firearms in a match, be it a precision rifle match or not, they...

Competitors will be allowed up to 100 rounds in mags on this stage. I have a slew of 9mm Glock mags and assorted other gear, mag holders etc that I am happy to loan out to keep this from being a gear war.
