I am running 44.6 under a 155 Scenar through a 26" Broughton 10 twist and am getting an average 2936 fps with no pressure signs. Load has been very accurate.
I wouldn't says its Ocala, more like Dunnellon which is west of Ocala by about 25 miles. Awesome facility with a great layout and comfy covered shooting positions both high (top of connex) and ground level. At ground level you are shooting over a natural depression so the mirage doesent kill...
Currently running 8208 but have run, Varget, Benchmark, and IMR 3031 with great results as well. I am seeing better velocity with lower ES using the 8208
Since you already have a .308 sized bolt, why not go with a 22-250 and run the 77 -80 grn class bullets in a 7.5 twist. H-414 can be found here and there, plus it will still get you to 1K
I have skimmed through this thread as I use this method and didn't see anything about QL / Powder calibration. Don't forget, you have to calibrate QL to your "chronographed powder charge". It doesn't matter what charge you chronograph as long as all components are the same when you go to work...
