Just getting started here. I have a brand new Savage Model 10 FCP with a Mcmillan 5 stock in .308 with 24' heavy barrel, at a gunsmith's getting pillar and glassed at the moment. My list of things purchased and ready to instal are as follows. SWFA 3-18X42 scope with SWFA rings and SWFA bubble level. 20 MOA Weaver rail, Harris 6-9 swivel bipod, Kestrel 4000 pocket weather station, Set of ADAC Cards, Mil Dot master, Box of Lapua brass, 500 round count box of 175 SMK's. Fed 210 primers and all of about 2.5 pounds of IMR 4064. Can't find any VARGET anyplace?? I load my own so if ANY of you folks know where some VARGET is please let me know.. Looking forward to being a part of this sight. I have been shadowing it for some time.

I have about 4 lbs of Varget, but love IMR 4064 42.8 gr with 168gr SMK BTHP and Fed 210 primers. Shooting 1/3 MOA at 100 yds from my DTA with 22" 1:11.5 twist barrel. Plenty of IMR 4064 most places. Good luck.
I do have some test loads with the IMR 4064. As follows 42.2gr with the 175smk, Lapua brass, 210 fed primer. Also some 42.5gr same combo, both are 2.805 OAL. When I measured the chamber it was out to lands at 2.815. Waiting for the Gunsmith to "RETURN" my soon to be pilliard and glassed Savage Model 10 FCP Mcmillan 5. 1X10 Right twist 24' barrel.
