    New to bolt guns.

My first bolt gun is Remington 700 Tactical XCR it’s the best out of the box gun I own. Can shoot 0.55” group at 200. Custom rifles are awesome but out of budget for me

    Mossberg 46M(b) for rimfire comp

I have several of the old mossberg’s, this one included. They are some of my favorite rifles. They are very accurate once you get used to them. I’ve hit a penny at 80 yards with the S-130 peep. If you remove the trigger guard there’s a screw to adjust the trigger pull. You can find parts and...

    DIY Cam System for 2K?

I’m currently building a setup now using directional antennas, Wi-Fi router and security camera. Test run at house gets me 400 yds to my phone. The final setup will have directional antenna on both ends. I don’t know about 2000 yds. but 1000 seems likely. Once I finilize the setup I can let you...

    Suggestions for next gun purchase?

I would get yourself a old Mossberg 46mb .22 bolt action rifle from the 40’s. I can shoot a penny open sights at 80 yards with mine and it’s a tax driver on paper. Has adjustable trigger, both peep sight and target sights. These are training rifles and have 4 different front posts that flip up...

    Vintage Spotting Scope Options

I know this is an old post but I have 5 vintage spotting scopes and 2 are the Spacemaster’s. Their my favorite ones to use so far. I can spot bullet holes at 300 yards at 20x. Yah there’s newer better scopes out there with more magnification but I love the old stuff. Glass is crystal clear and...

    Rifle Scopes Scope Hight Problems

Re: Scope Hight Problems I went with the Kydex adjustable cheek rest first and it works really well. If you dont mind having the scope up that high the cheek rest will work just fine. But if you just cant stand it sitting that high then lower rings would be your best choice. I'm looking into...

    Rifle Scopes Scope Hight Problems

    Rifle Scopes Scope Hight Problems

Re: Scope Hight Problems Yah I think i'll go with the Seekins rings. I'm going to check the stats to make sure the scope objective will clear the barrel. I think it will but just want to make sure. chpprguy: I'll deff try what you suggested to see the hight that I would need to get. Thanks...

    Rifle Scopes Scope Hight Problems

Re: Scope Hight Problems The Millet LRS Illuminated 6-25x56 has a 35mm main tube. At least thats what they advertise it as. The website and owners manual states they are 35mm rings. Is this wrong?

    Rifle Scopes Scope Hight Problems

I have a Millet LRS mounted on my M700 with the scope rings that came with the scope. The scope sits really high up and can be troublesome to get your eye lined up. Would you suggest buying lower scope rings like Seekins 35mm or just go with a kydex cheek rest. I was thinking of going with both...

New Member / New Rifle Build

Re: New Member / New Rifle Build Thanks for the rings info. I'd like getting lower sitting rings but I think I'm all set for a little while (save some money). I'm going to work on 5 shot groups more. The three shot group I posted was my second set for shotting at 200 yrds. I'm just starting...
