New product reveal pending, are you in?

I asked Charles Sole, the match director for 3 Gun Nation, and he said it would not put you in open. Granted, that was based on a photo and brief description. He could change his mind when he sees it in person, but I doubt it based on his reaction. As was mentioned earlier, some MD's may...

New product reveal pending, are you in?

Bipods will put you in "Open" class in major 3-Gun matches. The SILO shouldn't cause you to bump from Tactical Optics, that's a very good thing for a lot of reasons. Also, the stability offered by the side rails against barricades will exceed what is offered by bipods and bags separately...

    Attaching Bipod

You could always bed the rail to the stock with more marinetex if you don't want to remove material. It would be simple enough, and you could do a very clean job on it in about an hour. You'll probably be fine just tightening the rail on without worrying too much about it. I'd definitely try...

Advanced Marksmanship Temperature sensitivity factor for AB39 and AB43 ammunition

Just to follow up in case anyone else ever has the same question, the solution is .3. On the program, there is a hot button that you press and enter in your velocity at two different temps. The information I was given said that they had seen a 1 fps difference per 2 degrees. I entered in my...

Advanced Marksmanship Temperature sensitivity factor for AB39 and AB43 ammunition

We can compare at the comp next week. I'd hate to miss out on the advantage of a more stable powder. Kind of defeats the purpose of the advancement.

Advanced Marksmanship Temperature sensitivity factor for AB39 and AB43 ammunition

Thanks. Maybe I'm confused. I'm looking for a number that would represent the sensitivity. I've never seen it expressed that way before, so I very well could be imagining something that doesn't exist. I received a PM from someone that knows their way around ballistics and they said their...

Temerature Sensitivity Factor for AB39 and AB43 ammunition

Hoping someone here has this data. I'm using iStrelok with good results. Now that the weather is warming up, I want to make sure I have the right data in the program. I know the powder in these loads is less sensitive than most, but I don't have any clue what number to input, the default is 1.4...

    Atlas bipod

When you roll in the mud to wrestle a pig, you get dirty and the pigs situation doesn't really change. No one is making themselves look good by continuing to post in this thread. To the OP, my offer stands. If you want to try mine out, get in touch and I'll see what I can do to make it...

    Atlas bipod

RHunter: The point I tried to make in the beginning of this thread was that your experiences seem to be unique with regards to the Atlas failing you or falling short of your expectations. Kasey has always been responsive to that sort of feedback, that is why I encouraged you to contact him...

Member Link Up Hampton Roads, VA Anyone??

Does Academi ever open their ranges up for public use? I thought it was by rental (expensive) or course only. I wouldn't be opposed to splitting the cost of renting the KD range one day with a few folks. They shut down the 3-Gun and USPSA matches, but hopefully they'll get those going again...

    Atlas bipod

Good catch, Kasey. To the OP, if you'd like to try one, get in touch and we'll see if we can work something out so you can try mine out. Just PM me and I'll work out the details with you. It's been used a lot and is not the latest and greatest version, but you'll be able to get a good idea of...

Guardian Long Range Competition - Virginia - 2014

I think it is worth mentioning that the match was won by a guy shooting a factory .308 rifle... Awesome! Well done, Josh.
