I had the smith take 2 guns a part remove barrels on 2 Remington 700's. He was to true & blue print 1 action, he called me up and told me it was warped/twisted, if you look at the action I don't see anything wrong with it ,it could have been his action wrench and a little to much muscle. I hope...
HI just wanted to know if any GUNSMITHS out their have run into a WARPED Remmy 700 action. Took one to a new local smith to see what he could do and he called me back and he told me the action was warped has any body run into this?? Or is this something more like to much heat when taking off...
Re: CRYO BARRELS the deep freezzz 300below uses a dry cryo process, rather than a wet process. Yes you can cryo a used barrel.300below has been doing this for 40 years,50,000 barrels.

Cryo a barrel is this a good thing to do, do we need it or not. Is thier a benefit to de-stressing a barrel with the deep freezzz, and if so who does it. Any gunsmiths want to add to this, all info is good info. I'm sending 3 new barrel to 300Below for Cryo when they get back from Kampfelds...

Re: pre 64 bottom metal? A well known AI DBM for a real pre-64 mod 70 L/A, I know I would buy more than a couple I've been buy I have been buying pre-64 mod 70's since 1990.
