Re: Rifle case recommendations I finally decided to go with the Eagle 46" scoped rifle case. I think it will serve me well. It should hold a wide range of rifles and looks to be well made without being too bulky. I'll post an update after I receive it and have had a chance to use it.
Re: heavy barrel .22lr? For the money, CZ-452's are really hard to beat. They are very accurate and well made. Another option would be the H&R M12's that were sold through the CMP a couple of years ago. They can be found on most of the gun auction sites and are usually priced very...
Re: Rifle case recommendations Has anyone had any experience with the Eagle DB-BS ? Kind of a drag bag/rifle case/shooting mat all in one. The closest thing I've found to what I described as a "drag bag lite". A couple of things that I like about it are decent price, straps to keep the rifle...
Re: Rifle case recommendations The gunslinger bag is a little over the top for what I'd be using it for although that Eberlestock drag bag is very very nice. The double rifle case from 5.11 also has my interest. Thanks for the ideas and information. More food for thought for me to chew on.
Re: Rifle case recommendations I appreciate the replies but I'm not so sure that I need a custom rig to carry 2 rifles to the range. To make this a little easier, let's say that I want to carry just my 700 in a heavy duty durable case ? I've looked at the offerings from Tactical Tailor...
I've been researching soft sided rifle cases for over a month and there are a bewildering number of them on the market. I don't really like the bulk of a hard case so here's what I'm looking for: 1. Would be nice to carry my Remington 700 AND my AR15 carbine together but not absolutely...
Re: powder measurer suggestions I know people will laugh but I still use the old Belding and Mull powder measure. I had one of the high doller RCBS (or Redding, I can't remember) competition models and it wasn't as accurate as the B&M. I sold the RCBS and use the B&M exclusively. It's...
Re: Hand loading for Long range 1: brass case prep Great write up on sizing brass but I have a question. I've been resizing once fired Lapua .308 Win. brass. I used the Sinclair comparator to measure the fired headspace length and most of the cases are within .001" of one another. However...
Re: Marlin 39a If you haven't ever owned a 39A, you owe it to yourself to try one out. They are accurate and a lot of fun to shoot and super reliable. I'm not saying it's a target rifle but plenty accurate for informal target shooting and squirrel hunting. I'm no expert but I would say...
Re: Good Guy List I bought a scope from Rappeller-11 and everything was great. Excellent communication and updates, super packaging and shipping and scope exactly as described. Rappeller-11 is Good To Go !
