    Powder IN-STOCK thread

Yeah, I've seen the prices and don't feel like being bent over at this time. Reading back through this thread is how I found the powder actually. I have a decent amount of primers but not to the point where I'm reloading like it's on the shelf everywhere so I'll wait a bit longer. For me the...

    Powder IN-STOCK thread

I just ordered IMR4895, Ramshot TAC and Titegroup from https://www.powdervalleyinc.com/ . I was told during checkout there is a 50# daily limit. I ordered 15lbs w/o issue. Only 1 hazmat fee @19.95 for what I had. Prices were pretty normal from what I last recall them being. I've been sitting on...

Suppressors Done it all, AR still filthy when suppressed

Yeah, my 10.5 basically stays suppressed, I never take the can off anymore. I do believe the adjustable block would have solved it but I like not having to adjust one. I have an oversized rail that the can sits halfway in to have the integral look so I was prepared for having to adjust it but I...

    Suppressors Why use a suppressor?

I shoot F TR where no suppressors are allowed, but on the range, on the firing line, its more pleasant to shoot suppressed and to be next to others shooting suppressed. I'm used to be on the line in a match where nothing is suppressed and I like the sound of it actually, but I also appreciate...

Suppressors Done it all, AR still filthy when suppressed

I have 2 QD AAC suppressors(swap between several AR's) and a Palmetto State Armory direct thread suppressor dedicated to a 10.5" Pistol. That pistol ate everything before I suppressed it, steel ammo, brass, it didn't matter. Then I suppressed it, 2 shots on its maiden voyage and the case stuck...

    GG&G XDS Bipod Question

Anyone here have this bipod and can shed some light on its performance? I currently have both Harris and Atlas bipods and had a chance to see this at Primary Arms during a visit there. I liked what I saw but needed more info before I pull the trigger on it. I can't find any practicle reviews of...

Savage trr-sr a little attention went a long way.

I have the TR version and love it just as much as my 5.56 and .308. Practicing dialing the scope from 50yds to 120yds at my go to range gives good practice for my ballistic calculator. Nice looking rifle.

Boyd stock for a howa s/a?

I did a review on that stock, not for a Howa, but for a 700 SPS Varmit in .308, I love mine. My Savage Mark 2 TR also has one and I like it as well. It's not "the" same. The 700 has a more pronounced forearm, the grip area is a little different and the wood laminate seems denser to me. Look for...

Built a .308 AR, having ejection issues. Any Ideas?

Double Check your gas block. I used a low profile Yankee Hill block on my last build. It came with no instructions and I left the gap that would normally be filled by the plate that the hand guards clamp on to. When I function checked it the first time the BCG wouldn't feed and closed on an...

Boyds Tacticool Stock review/ 700 SPS Varmit 308 (Pic Heavy)

It combined with the rifle itself I think was almost 13lbs when I weighted them as a whole(bipod and scope incl.), more like 12.7ish if I remember correctly. It's well balanced with the 26" heavy when you shoulder it.

Boyds Tacticool Stock review/ 700 SPS Varmit 308 (Pic Heavy)

Dude, I'm 3.04lbs on my digital food/postal scale. I did take a little bit of wood from the lug area and bedded the lug area back to the front of the mag area. That probably accounts for the slight weight gain.

Boyds Tacticool Stock review/ 700 SPS Varmit 308 (Pic Heavy)

Looks good with the box mag. I also have 2 of those exact cheek pads(Allen Company right?), one is on my SPS and they feel damn good actually. I finally got to shot mine in my first F T/R comp and was pleased with its performance. The stock absorbed a good bit of recoil, I have no complaints...

Boyds Tacticool Stock review/ 700 SPS Varmit 308 (Pic Heavy)

I was eyeballin' the Wyatt's DetMag. It would have been a drop in for the B&C if I'd gone that route. That system is supposed to fit the factory stock as a "drop in" so I thought there was a snowballs chance it might fit the Boyds...... I haven't ruled out a detachable mag yet. If you go through...

Boyds Tacticool Stock review/ 700 SPS Varmit 308 (Pic Heavy)

^^^Well worth it^^^^^ I was eye balling the Mark ll TR for sometime due to the stock. People often think I'm shooting a suppressed centerfire when they see it.
