When truing MV at what yard marker do you start truing BC? and is that yard marker different for different calibers?

I have the Leofoto LN 404c and it is beefy and I like it I have never used a RRS Tripod but have researched and looked at the You Tube comparisons and I am very happy with my choice.

I have that ball head and the only thing I found and maybe its just me is you have to tighten the ball head knob more than I like. I have the RRS - TA U LC and the TA-3 leveling head that I am more comfortable with so the GNN XB52 is on my spotting scope tripod.

I finally bought the 5.11 XPRT pant one in FDE and one in Multicam - The Multi cam was on sale half price could not pass it up the best pants I have worn comfort, pockets in the right places, knee pads, adjustable waist. They are pricey but they will wear for a long time.

When shooting from a tripod and in competition what do you prefer? Ball Head or Leveling Base. I have a ball head right now but have never used a leveling base but looking at the RRS - TAC U LC. Appreciate the advice. Target shooting and competitions.

Anyone here use a Hazard 4 sling pack for competition or have seen them used in competition? I am thinking about giving it a try I have an Eberlestock Phantom but it is just to big. I have the Hazard 4 Rocket that looks like it could work.
