everytime i see a video of someone building an AR15 lower and they are testing the trigger reset its always a crisp sounding click. on mine its more of a thunk. is that a problem?

just finished my AR build today and i noticed a little bit of slop between the upper and lower reciever...is this common??? is there something i can do to fix it? what oil/grease would you recommend for the AR's?
what is the law on barrel length? i ended up buying a 16 inch (ill have pictures up soon) but i really want to buy a 14.5. ive heard that anything under 16 inch is illegal. im wondering if you can get away with a 14.5 barrel and permanently attaching a muzzle break?
in the process of building my first AR and was wondering if anybody can point me in the right direction as far as a good quality lower parts kit....and is there a big difference between a chrome BCG and a standard one...is it worth the extra $$$ to run a chrome BCG
my .308 load has primarly been lapua brass, CCI large rifle or BR2, 43g RL15 and 175gr SMK and ive been pretty happy with it but ive wanted to try the 178 hornady match bullet to see how they compare. what im wondering is if i should stick with the 43g of RL15 or bump it up or down...thoughts or...
