Re: .308 reloading for semi-auto All that had been using lapua brass are telling the truth. There is nothing better than lapua brass for semiautos. I still have 96 out of 100 and have 5 reloads with out having to trim. Real awesome brass. My Armalite AR10T used to eat the brass in the...
Re: Imperial sizing wax I Got the the royal case and die lube , It's similar to imperial and I just put some on the neck every two cases , don't know about the imperial but the royal wax has a nice small to it.
Re: scales and powder dispensers I have the lyman 1200 and it has worked great for me. I just keep the little bushing that is used for powder extra small , and it is an accurate piece of equipment. I'm not a competitor other to compete against me but I find it pretty accurate.
Hello. Last weekend my hornady o.a.l gauge broke and I got my engineering brain out. I didn't like the gauge any ways since the cases from hornady are full lenght sized and I always had to adjust it. so here is what I came up with. feel free to hate it, or inprove it, I am not a engineer...

Re: Measuring Group Size (.308") before you measure the groupings , take your caliper open it to .308" or just use a BULLET ones you Got .308" or any given BULLET from where you want to measure . Now zero out your caliper and measure from edge to edge and you will already have your true...
Re: Fouling rounds? If I may I'll like to say Nofail : you may find the opposite on some rifles and here is a perfect explanation. This rifle shots 5 rounds at 100 yards in 1/2 MOA but it likes to be sparkling clean or it will open up to 3/4 of MOA .
Re: New boy to reloading for a .204 Hello , and welcome to the world of reloading. One advice I can tell you is you are in a great forum , Now I was under the impression that the las 4 years in reloading I knew enough of reloading to keep me going. BOY WAS I WRONG , after I read every...
Re: .308, RL-17, and Hornady 178 HPBT in a gas gun Like the gentleman above had said most of your dies (not bushing types) will give enough neck tension ( most if not all to mush ) for gas rifles. If you decide on the LFC die , don't follow the instructions as it will destroy the top of the...
Re: Brass prep for 308AR I'm on the 5th reload using lapua for my AR 10T and I can tell you It's holding REALLY GOOD I've ran winchester brass and the first reload it destroys them , , The only one that holds like lapua is remington but not close. Also by taking a nail polish stick and...
Re: .308, RL-17, and Hornady 178 HPBT in a gas gun CRAWDAD 338 , Thanks for the info , I'm trying re17 on 6.5-55 and I'm getting good results on it. I'm happy with results from VIHT N-140 for my Armalite AR10 but I have not reach the speed that I'm looking for 500 yards , and RE 17 sounds...
Re: Headspace... bumping the shoulder K2 B. Said it , I started using a forster bushing neck sizing, this die is suppose to bump the shoulder back .002" but it didn't ,it was pushing it back .008" and I wouldn't found it if I didn't have a HEADSPACE gage. Having the the tools to do the job...
